Alternatively you can use Thiamine Benfotiamine which is going to be much better than Mononitrate and you only need to take 800mg of it to mega dose I think. It likely can cross the blood brain barrier but TPP will be much more effective to do that.

I had the same experience and feeling. Over time though I was getting more of a tolerance and it was reducing my tinnitus less and less, until I was waking up to a bad spike every morning and drinking it would hardly touch it. Then stopping it entirely put me into one of the worst week long...

Since TPP is much more effective, I think you only need to go up to 400mg to mega dose it.
