    Some Positive News Regarding Spikes

Hey guys, It's been a few months since I've posted on here! If you look through my most recent posts, you'll see I suffered from spikes a few months ago. I just wanted to check back in and let you know that the spike is gone, either I got used to the new noise, or it left, at this point I don't...

From your experience with people you know, are they just not receiving emails back or are they being emailed that they are not being accepted? I'm curious.. The email I received said they'll reply within two weeks if I got through and they haven't in 2 1/2 weeks now..

RL648_81: Synthesis and Evaluation of Potent KCNQ2/3-specific Channel Activators

This is really interesting stuff! It's important to stay positive with T and this is something that gives hope to people. I remember when news of Autifony came out, that was what gave me hope which evidently led to me habituating the first time. I know Autifony didn't go quite so well but...

I Have a Question About New Sounds

Those who have sounds change for more than a few days due to a spike or whatever reason, did they go away? Did they stay? Are they bothersome? Did you habituate again? I'm asking because I've had a recent new sound in one of my ears and it's quite bothersome but I can feel myself starting to...

    Spike from Wax Build-Up

Went to see a nurse today and she said the wax is starting to soften after two days of ear drops. I've also found a place that does microsuction nearby which I may consider. Still contemplating what to do though, have had quite a bit of pain in the affected ear after running in the cold yesterday.

    Spike from Wax Build-Up

Wow thanks for all the advice! Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to afford a private ENT appointment so I think I'll just try ear drops at home for a week and see if that works, I hope it does.

    Spike from Wax Build-Up

Hey guys. I was just at the doc and it seems my ear with the spike is full of wax. They want to syringe my ears on Thursday following two days of olive oil treatment. I'm VERY apprehensive about getting my ears syringed. I got it done 6 months before I had T and I hated it, and I've heard...

Is This a Spike? A New, High-Pitched Sound Has Started This Morning

I just want to get clear on the terminology of a spike. I've had various sounds in both ears since my T started which I got used to. However, now a new, loud, high pitch sound has started, for apparently no reason, I just woke up with it one morning. Is it a spike? Or has it changed forever? I...

In all seriousness though, as much as I love the TT community, getting away from here helped me forget about my T originally, for the first six months or so it really helped but I figured I needed to try to distance myself from thoughts of T! Prednisone Post Spike?

Hey guys, I know there's been many posts like this before but I'm just wondering if it'd be worth taking prednisone following my spike? Spike started on Wednesday morning so I'm wondering if I should take some as there is some in my parents house. If so, what dosage is recommended? Cheers guys!

Hey guys, it's been over a year since I've posted on TT. The reason I'm back is because my T has changed. I had habituated to the noise after about 6/7 months, meaning I could still hear it but it never bothered me anymore. However, yesterday morning, I woke up to a new noise in my right ear...

I just feel like waiting for autifony could take a long time and I trying this sooner rather than later would make it more effective! I know it's probably difficult for people with severe & loud T to think why people with quieter T would bother with drugs like this. I would consider my own T to be a 3-4/10, which isn't nearly as bad as a lot of people on here and I know it could be a lot worse and I pray for anyone who is...
