@DaveyJones there are still many people here that would advise against headphone use and I'm sure the effects of using them will vary from person to person, so of course I can't say for sure that using them will be a complete non-issue for you. I'm still very conservative with it - 95% of the...

@DaveyJones there have been a few times though where I wear them for a while and my ears start to hurt, which honestly I think is just from the way the headphones fit over my ears, or the ringing seems to be a little bit louder immediately after use (then subsides back to normal after). Volume...

@DaveyJones hey! So most of the time I have the sound come out of my computer speakers but I occasionally wear headphones while gaming now to voice chat with friends. I find that as long as I'm conservative with the volume and don't have the headphones on for a long time, there is very minimal...

Hi @Auron - doing alright, thanks for asking! Volume-wise not sure if it's improving too much more, but in terms of my emotional response to the T I am continuously improving. For better or for worse, I've had some other sources of stress that have allowed me to somewhat de-emphasize this issue...

I used to focus on listening to it every minute of the day, but now I find myself doing it maybe two or three times a day for a minute or so each time. It's the hardest at night right before I go to sleep, but even then I am still able to get a good nights sleep. Feel free to PM me as I'm...

I think that alone has been a big reason for the improvement. I have been taking the circumin each night, but I'm only taking 1000mg. I believe higher dosages were giving me headaches and nausea. I've also been taking magnesium and ginkgo biloba.

@Bill Bauer @TheDanishGirl @bSiDeQuiEtWaTeRS @New Guy hi all, thanks for the feedback! As a first time pet owner I am leaning towards adopting an older cat. As I understand it would be a bit more manageable to care for and I've read that older cats tend to show their gratitude when taken in...

How to Overcome the Fight or Flight Response and Stop Seeing Tinnitus as a Threat?

It's funny, I've been thinking to myself how at this moment in time I would consider sacrificing a foot to get rid of this T for good. And mine is mild! However it's only been 2 months for me since my spike so I am holding out hope that things will get better. The uncertainty of it all is...

I Give Up. I Have a Disability. I Need to Change My Life. Completely.

I can identify with you very well. I'm in my last year of college and have friends who like to go out on the weekends sometimes. Vibration in Head When I Hear the Ringing

When I’m in a quiet room/lying in bed at night and can hear my tinnitus, it sometimes comes with what feels like a rumbling or vibrating sensation in my head. Do others have this experience? Is something in my head actually vibrating or am I only perceiving it that way? I wouldn’t be surprised...

    Star Wars

Idk man, there are some parts of the prequel trilogy that are pretty sad/dark when it comes to Anakin turning (especially in Ep. 3 which was PG-13), like the scene with the sand people and Order 66. There's also that weird political subplot of Ep. 1 that I definitely didn't care to try to...

Miss Gaming with Headphones — Can I Wear Ear Plugs Under the Headphones?

I met with an ENT after my T spike, and he had very similar advice when we talked pretty in depth about how I should continue after NIT. He said to ditch ear buds completely (which is fine because I'm not a fan anyway) and to use headphones at a volume where I can pretty much just hear the...

@Blodorn at least I know I'm not alone! I play Overwatch too but haven't in a little while, nor any game besides Rocket League really.. Miss Gaming with Headphones — Can I Wear Ear Plugs Under the Headphones?

I'm not here to argue either, just seeking out advice, and thank you for yours. Reading the thread I assume you would say the spike in my tinnitus a month ago was not technically a result of the loud concert, but because I had been using headphones regularly after my tinnitus onset which made me...

Miss Gaming with Headphones — Can I Wear Ear Plugs Under the Headphones?

Really? Even with the ear protection and the headphones being at a low volume? I'm not asking this because I don't believe you, it is just a little surprising that damage could still be caused that way. Then again I'm sure that's the mentality most people have before they do something and screw...

Miss Gaming with Headphones — Can I Wear Ear Plugs Under the Headphones?

As I'm sure you've seen, there are many people on this forum that would advise against that, so I really do not want to take that risk right now. For now I would either use the plugs if that is deemed safe or not use headphones at all.

Miss Gaming with Headphones — Can I Wear Ear Plugs Under the Headphones?

Before re-aggravating my T a month and a half ago I used to game with headphones all the time, and I never had any noticeable spikes from using them (the re-aggravation was from a concert). Since joining the forum I have seen so many people advocating against using headphones especially after...
