It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out with insurance plans as well. My guess is that most, if not all, of it will be out of pocket. I would also expect it to be similar to Lenire in pricing except I’d feel happier with my purchase.

I am happy to report that the clicking sound in my ear has subsided, so I must retract the above statement. I'm essentially back to where I was before 5 months of using Lenire; no permanent damage appears to have been done.

The Shore device hasn't received FDA approval, yet, so it's not like they chose it over a better available treatment.

I also don't trust anything the user @Clare B said about Lenire — it's a very suspicious profile. Tinnitus Talk staff should filter these kinds of false hope spreaders/advertisers in the future. I am adamant that both @Mpt and @kelpiemsp are fraudulent profiles.

The problem is that with such high THI, a mild improvement is sort of meaningless. So it is only meaningful if it had a dramatic impact. I’ve never heard anyone describe that sort of dramatic benefit from using Lenire.

It’s the same principal as Susan Shore’s device; same target nerve. It’s thought that maladaptive neuroplasticity is the root of tinnitus, so why wouldn’t it also be the answer? Lenire stimulates an entirely different nerve.

Lenire made my tinnitus worse. It’s steadily ramped up over 15 years to severe. Nothing masks it now and I’m at my wits’ end. Lenire was my latest hope. I returned the expensive headphones and device and received a full refund. I had to use Consumer Rights Act to have them finally agree.
