The similarities are VERY superficial. I wouldn't compare the two just because they are both bimodal stimulation.

I imagine Tinnitus Quest is something that has been in the works for a while. We know from the data that this device will not work for everyone. I look at this device as a step on the road to superior treatments.

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

There is no unbiased research. Neuromod claims 85% of users get significant improvement from Lenire. Based on reports on Tinnitus Talk that is laughable - it is more like 30% who are a bit vague on how much it is helping. I would be less negative if it was not so expensive or if Lenire would...

New University of Michigan Tinnitus Discovery — Signal Timing

I think a 510(k) submission will be likely but far as I know we have no confirmation of that. Superficially (very superficially) it could be considered similar enough to Lenire to get the 510(k) distinction.

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

In Dr. Shore's paper, timing is parameter #1. Lenire is based on a different theory I know, but where Dr. Shore's papers are well constructed, Lenire's are enigmatic. In my opinion, using a Bluetooth system in such sensitive device is an unnecessary source of complexity, to favor the...

Lenire is pretty much hot garbage. Neuroplasticity is something that humans lose with time but slightly, otherwise you would never be able to learn anything new at an older age which isn’t true. Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

Yes, it's certainly expensive, but at least some will experience an improvement using Lenire due to the placebo effect, so they will consider it money well spent. That might be worth it to some people, not me. So, hopefully Auricle pans out, which showed some real improvement vs. a placebo.

I think the main differences are: 1) Timing. Timing is the most important in bimodal stimulation. Lenire might just have bad timings or a delay due to Bluetooth. 2) Sounds. Lenire plays keyboard-like sounds with rain-like white noise in the background. What's the point of having any timings...

    Introducing Tinnitus Quest

I'm wondering if Neuromod operates on a basis similar to smartphone producers: only introduce incremental upgrades every 1 or 2 years so that people will continue to buy (minor) upgrades for slightly better results. Not really. What I noticed the first few times after using Lenire is that it would change an otherwise always stable set of ringing sounds, and would make it whoosh and variable.
