Non-Benzo Meds That Reduce Tinnitus Perception?

Hope everyone's been doing okay over Christmas. Have read here and there on the forum people mentioning things that reduce their perception of tinnitus. Even for use every now and again when needed. Finding it hard to track down the posts in question. It's a very optimistic question I know...

Yesterday they sped up, some came higher pitch and more often Only thing I did differently apart from a late night, was start 25mg Lustral 2 days ago. Has...

Should have said earlier, thanks that's really good of you. I even just gave a medal :) I have M Audio monitor speakers but I always feel they are a bit heavy on bass so not sure what to think of that. They might be best ones I have. Interested to hear any thoughts from audio inclined people...

Help: Repetitive Fragment of a Tune and Two Tone Patterns

    Compressed Audio Files

Hi all. I know that in the case of using pink/white noise as sound therapy, compressed file types should be avoided. Also not recommended (understandably) are bad audio quality files on YouTube for listening to nature sounds or white noise etc. What about table top devices re avoiding...

    My Tinnitus Is Constantly Changing

Hi Dorothy, If the cause of your t was tmj I think I would definitely look into everything I could on that front. Have you been searching on the forum about that area? I'm sure you probably have. It's not (I don't think) related in my case so I haven't carefully taken jaw related info on-board...

Changing Your Perception of or Reaction to (External) Sounds

Changing Your Perception of or Reaction to (External) Sounds

Hi all People are telling me that if I retrain my perception, not of tinnitus, but of outside sounds and how they affect me, they will affect me differently. This is part of the basic retraining/TRT model I suppose. I.e. I have found that certain sounds affect tinnitus levels. I am told that...

    Hyperacusis, What Helped You?

Yes, I would be inclined to be very thorough in these matters regarding getting the professional help, for sure. Long story but I am working remotely with an audiologist. It's noise induced as far as can be ascertained at the present moment, it came with a noise induced tinnitus increase.

Would a CBT Practitioner Need to Be Trained in TRT to Be an Effective Help?

Thanks A. Sensitivity to Necessary Sounds (Heating System)

Hi there, I'm new. Thanks to all involved for this forum. I had 'normal' tinnitus symptoms last year that kicked up in September, along with sensitivity to sound. Realised at one stage in early October that going out for walk was making symptoms worse (little bit of traffic, some wind). In a...
