It's okay to be upset. It's okay to not be okay. Accept when things are not going great and that there's not always much you can do about it, and that it's not your fault. Let yourself grieve. Let yourself cry. Just try to get through each day.

Every loud noise almost always causes a spike for me. Is it because I have hyperacusis? If my hyperacusis goes away, will I be able to be around average loud noises that everyone else is exposed to without earplugs and not experience an increase in my tinnitus?

I'm reluctant to go for walks because of fireworks as well. And they sound so incredibly loud even indoors. Taking a walk in the park might be safer. I doubt there'd be fireworks going off anywhere near there. It isn't always an option during the winter though sadly.
