I’m guessing anything that would cause hair cell loss would be helped by FX-322. If it’s not from hair cell loss, FX-322 wouldn’t help imho.

Will this delay the release of FX-322?

Is it possible to receive more than four doses of FX-322 for people in the severe hearing loss range?

My mom actually talked to them by calling the main number. I believe in order to obtain compassionate use your doctor would need to contact them.

She did call the number on the website, yes, and the way it sounded, yes, there is an opportunity. I’m very hopeful.

They said to wait until after my appointment on the 21st to give it three weeks and to call back. That it was a possibility they would offer it. I feel if more people would call and ask for it they may offer it.

They are still in pre-clinical, no? I, like the others, am betting for FX-322 to fix my hearing loss/tinnitus.

I don’t think we’ll truly know the answer to this question as they are only giving the participants 1 dose of FX-322 in the severe hearing loss trial.

I know the severe hearing loss trial ends at 90 days.

I don’t think there’s any way of knowing the answer to your question as of now. If someone knew, I’m sure we all would by now.

I know for me personally restoring hearing would help me with my tinnitus as in the morning, until I put my hearing aids in, my tinnitus is extremely bad and noticeable.

Not necessarily worried about getting placebo or not. That’s a risk I’m willing to take. I just don’t want to risk the fact that I know I’ll need more then one injection and won’t know if I can get into a future study because I’ve participated in the single injection one.

I am so confused on what to do. I do want to help out but I need help too and I’m afraid I won’t get it. I do not know man. I’m just really down after reading through here this am.

I really want to but now I’m afraid that if I do and don’t see improvement, I’ll be kicking myself in the ass saying I should’ve waited for more doses, since an exclusion criteria is not having previously participated in the trials.

The upside would be helping the millions of people suffering from hearing loss IMO. Isolation and not wanting to live anymore.

I just don’t understand if FX-322 continues to show it’s safe and in fact works why they wouldn’t release it ASAP or allow expanded access when there are so many of us on the verge of suicide and have socially isolated our selves from the world because of our hearing loss?

I would definitely get cochlear implants before then. My problems are the hearing loss and word recognition. I can live with tinnitus even though it’s excruciating at times.

Really it makes me wonder if FX-322 is in fact working as intended and they’ve seen huge success with it! Why else would they start two more trials?

Yes it is separate and it hasn’t started yet. I’m going to try and get into it. It’s supposed to start this quarter so hopefully they will start recruiting very soon!

Is anyone aware if this would help with hair cells lost/damaged due to ototoxic medication?

I really don’t feel I can wait that long. Even March is a long time for me.
