    Teaching with Tinnitus: Any Advice?

Thanks! Right now I’m going to focus on making hybrid learning as effective as I can for my daughter and then I think I’ll explore going back into my old business what was real estate financing. I can make that work and still feel comfortable in my body. Thanks for asking.

Which Books Do You Read? What Is Your Favourite Book?

Somewhat, yes. Although I have only listened at low volumes lately. I’m generally in a grumpy mood the last 7-8 months because of the ringing so music isn’t giving me what my soul needs right now

Running (Exercise in General) and Tinnitus

I’ve done some low intensity hiking with my 8 year old over the last few months. I was hoping to get out there on my own this weekend but wasn’t able to pull it off. I’m surrounded by state forests and conservation trails. I’ll report back once I’m able to get out there.

Tinnitus Masking: MP3s, CDs, YouTube, Other Audio

Hi all, I do not want to make my tinnitus any worse than it already is. Do you have any recommendations for what types of sounds I should listen to with tinnitus in the 12,000 Hz - 15,000 Hz range? Right now I just fall asleep to pink noise but I feel like it’s not doing me any good... Any...

Old Guy Introduced to Tinnitus: Clonazepam's Effect on Tinnitus? Are Smartphone Masking Apps Safe?

Hi Steph, could you share which apps you currently use? Right now I have an Alexa that I play pink noise through at night. It’s not perfect but it’s as far as I’ve gotten so far. I do have some really nice Sonos speakers I could use but I haven’t tried yet. Thanks for any info you’ve got!

Which Books Do You Read? What Is Your Favourite Book?

Same. Two of my favorite things: music & books... down the crapper! I’ve also always loved audiobooks but I haven’t even wanted to do that lately.

    Tinnitus Loudness Scale?

I’d say I’m about the same as everything you said here. Question: I’m new to this as well. I’ve been playing “Pink” noise in the background when I sleep. Do you know if white noise is better for habituation or is it all the same? I’ll switch if need be, I just found the Pink noise a little nicer.

What Jobs Can You Do with Tinnitus?

I’m having an extremely hard time managing my tinnitus in the classroom. I am losing concentration and the energy to be an effective teacher. I am at the point where I am miserable and each day is worse than the last. I have a business degree and pretty close to an M.Ed. 18 years as an Ops...

Crazy Tinnitus Spikes: Some Days I Can Barely Hear People Talking

Hoping this will pass for you. I do find that some days my hearing is way worse than others. The biggest fluctuations are either at night when I lay down or during a quiet time in my classroom. The longer the period of quiet the harder it is for me to hear. I’m sure none of it makes sense but...

    Possible TMJ?

Hi! Your story is very similar to mine. I was running a lot and wearing earbuds. Over time I started feeling that little crunching or clicking sound in my ear when I yawned or swallowed. Which Books Do You Read? What Is Your Favourite Book?

Great subject! I’ve always been a fan of everything that Kurt Vonnegut has written. I also love Albert Camus and Bill Bryson. Right now I’m on a biography and auto-biography kick. Reading the words of people like Nelson Mandela, Maya Angelou, and Frederick Douglass helps give me perspective.
