Dysacusis — How Common Is It?

Oh what's also bizarre is that the angle of my ear relative to the sound source seems to matter. There are a few angles (e.g. if I hold my head in a certain position relative to the sound source) that make the whistling lower volume/

Dysacusis — How Common Is It?

I hear a high-pithced whistling sound over a lot of 'fan' or 'motor' noises (e.g. fridge compressor, loud computer fan, etc.) in addition to my regular electrical-static T. The dysacusis bothers me more than T at this point. I dread opening the fridge door if the compressor is off because I know...

My tinnitus has somewhat stabilized. I hear layers of extremely high pitched sounds that constantly modulate. They are so high pitched that I can't make out a tone, except for some nights where i can hear a pure tone at a lower frequency amongst the surging high pitch sounds. I have started...

3 Weeks In — Tinnitus of Unknown Origin

Hi, I'm 38, and am~3 weeks in what probably has been the most anxiety-ridden period of my life. A day after I complained to my wife about the feeling of having water in my ear, I started experiencing diplacusis in the left ear (people sounding like robots and music sounding off-pitch). Before...
