Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

I felt pretty bad when I saw the news about the failed trail, but I was doing well at the time. I had a bad spike after a motorcycle journey recently, so am back on the forum, getting by on promises of future glory. Things look better than when I last looked for tinnitus treatment. I hope that...

I do wonder what the impact of the diet etc. of those in these studies is on individual outcomes. Many people carry around one or more micronutrient deficiency and modern diets have many setbacks and you can only screen at the most extreme end for trials like this.

*Hearing loss and tinnitus drugs in trial pipeline* I am not sure how much closer you can get, there being multiple drugs in the clinical trial pipeline. Multiple Phase 3 trials would be nice to see, I admit. It's no given, but comments like this (which 20 years ago would have been considered...

I have devoured so many of your posts that it feels like conversing with a celebrity! I am an engineer, not a scientist, but digested the 2009 paper on the development of Ebselen. I can't find the 2021 February paper using my sources. The 2009 paper suggests, like you did, that the primary...

Sorry all, another refugee from the FX-322 thread here... Having worked that thread for over year and jumping ship to skim read the last few pages here... It seems that this drug has had good results and is even oral! In my mind this is even better than an injection because... No injection. I...

Checking in for the first time in months. The news didn't do me any good, but the ongoing analysis is super appreciated. Feeling informed feels better, even if the info is for the better or otherwise. June does not seem too long a wait. Cheers guys and girls.

Same way doctors actually know very little about HOW what they do works. I mean, you can learn this at med school, but no practicing local GP is going to remember the mechanism by which the all of the drugs they prescribe act, or we wouldn't have enough doctors - the cognitive burden would be...

So at a random sample this would be 1/4 for two to get placebo. But in my head people who it works for are more likely to stay quiet. They got what they wanted, so go with the NDA and don't make trouble, right? So I don't think this is representative.

Hi there - so is this thought to be bad news from a development perspective (independent of timelines)? Is there scope for them to modify a trial mid-trial in order to improve results if they don't look good?

The question is intriguing, but extreme and at a great disconnect to the reality of where we currently believe ourselves to be with this. I am all for the placebo group in this instance especially; we have a condition that is VERY hard to measure and may change naturally over time (I believe...

Hope so! Trouble is I can't help but feel that the exposure decay will be exponential within the cochlea - a bit like dropping a blob of paint and examining the volume that remains inside a given radius of the impact. Given such a decay it could need a LOT of drug to have any impact.

I want to include a disclaimer with this one, and don't mean it for you necessarily, but others lurking. These 'online tests' are VERY biased to the speaker set in use. I to be honest fail to spot the 'naked greed'. Look at it this way - if it is competing with HAs then the better it works the higher the price will be! This will be produced in mass if it does work, lowering the costs. The drug you reference is for a rare condition. It is a one time treatment...
