Chances of Acoustic Neuroma? Feeling Down

Thanks @Chriscom Hopefully I'm just gravitating towards the worst for no good reason. Though I feared DAVF, and that's what I had. Then I feared appendicitis recently, that's what I had. My left eyelid is twitching some... same side as hearing loss. Not every day, but maybe every other...

Chances of Acoustic Neuroma? Feeling Down

Alright, so I'm worried about an acoustic neuroma now. Age 41 -Pulsatile Tinnitus back in early 2018. Cured by DAVF embolization surgery. -Regular tinnitus since waking up from that surgery in April 2018. -Had hearing test before the surgery with PT and actually came back really well. Was...

Blood Thinners and Tinnitus and an Embedded Success Story

That's interesting for sure. When I first started reading it, I though you were going to say the blood thinner helped, not made it worse. What is interesting is some claim things like Ginkgo Biloba help with their tinnitus and Ginkgo is known to at least increase blood flow in the head...

Sound Machine White Noise Possibly Harmful for Someone with Tinnitus?

I got curious if listening to white noise could be potentially harmful. Like most things, if you search for it on the internet, you will find it. So... of course I found articles claiming white noise could be harmful. Some of these articles even claimed it could cause tinnitus. Crazy huh...

Regular "Ringing" Tinnitus After Pulsatile DAVF Cure

Yea, I hear ya. I'm wondering if when the DAVF shutdown, it stopped blood from getting to a place it really needed to be. Or the surgery itself caused some sort of nerve damage.

Regular "Ringing" Tinnitus After Pulsatile DAVF Cure

Hey all, happy holidays! I'm not new to Tinnitus Talk, but I'm new to the tinnitus threads on here as I used to live on the pulsatile tinnitus threads. Back in early 2018 I had PT. Long story short, it was finally discovered I had a DAVF and I had a embolization surgery with ONYX to fix the...

Head/Ear Pressure Accompanied by Pulsatile Tinnitus

I had surgery 9 days ago. My fistula was a grade 1 DAVF behind my left ear. It wasn't a threat other than the PT. They did a embolization... used Onyx glue to fill and block the fistula. Surgery was around 2 hours long under general anesthesia. I was terrified as I never had surgery before...

Head/Ear Pressure Accompanied by Pulsatile Tinnitus

Have you had a cerebral angiogram? I had a MRA with contrast that didn't show anything and it wasn't until I had a cerebral angiogram (yesterday actually) that I got an answer. They found a fistula. If you haven't had one, I would talk to your neuro doc about getting one. The idea sounds...

    Cerebral Angiogram Results

Hey all, So I had my cerebral angiogram yesterday. It wasn't too bad. My leg is a little painful, but I guess that is to be expected. Anyway, they found a fistula. Remember my MRI/MRA with contrast didn't show one. I'm not sure what grade it is, but the doc said it was a small one and...

Wife Can Hear It! Cerebral Angiogram Scheduled

@GJSCAR I'm sorry you had issues during your angiogram! That scares me. I was told the chance of stroke for me is less than .5 percent. I worry about a clot and plaque. I'm 40 in relatively good shape but I have had high cholesterol. Still hoping some people can put me at ease saying...

Wife Can Hear It! Cerebral Angiogram Scheduled

So, a lot has transpired today with my pulsatile tinnitus. First, for the first time since I've had this for 4 weeks, my wife could hear it! It was the loudest it has ever been today and when she put her head next to mine, she heard the whoosh! Also, I got a cerebral angiogram scheduled. It...

MRA Came Back: Paranasal Sinus Inflammatory Disease, but...

Thanks @Greg Sacramento ... A dilated mastoid emmisary vein. I read that whole article and it sound like that could be me. Now I just have to figure out how to get someone to look for that in my MRA. I question if my MRA even has the correct images to look for that. I broke down crying...

MRA Came Back: Paranasal Sinus Inflammatory Disease, but...

Saw the doc and he said he couldn't help me. He is referring me to an otologist, but I can't get in until May 31st. I'll go crazy before then. I feel helpless. Wondering if the MRI/MRA they did wasn't looking for the right things. Not looking for all artery and vein issues. Still...

MRA Came Back: Paranasal Sinus Inflammatory Disease, but...

So my MRI/MRA came back with paranasal sinus inflammatory disease... that is what the radiologist read it as who worked at the imaging place I went to. However, my 2nd ENT doc doesn't agree that is what's causing the PT and his nurse says he probably isn't the right guy to see. So after I...

Left Ear, 2 Weeks, and Scared

Well, I have my MRA today at 1pm. I nervous about it. Nervous about the dye, nervous what the results could be. I'm still holding onto hope I just have fluid deep in the ear and it is just going to take time. Even though the whoosh sound (like a ultrasound on baby in womb) is in sync...

How Often Is Pulsatile Tinnitus Serious?

Today around lunch the whoosh kinda subsided a bit and I noticed as I was walking, it was changing the whoosh... almost like when there is water in your ear. It has since gone back to the way it was, but that kinda gave me hope maybe it is just fluid in my ear and the docs couldn't see it.

How Often Is Pulsatile Tinnitus Serious?

I'm wondering if anyone knows how often pulsatile tinnitus is serious. As in a DAVF or other fistula, tumor, etc... generally something that requires surgery. My anxiety about it is starting to get the best of me. I'm starting to realize if it isn't just inflammation caused by something...

Left Ear, 2 Weeks, and Scared

I know... and that is what I originally thought until I read about the different possible causes and how I could be at high risk of stroke... or even death. I'm going through the MRA just to get some imaging done. If it comes back ok, it will be a relief, but I've also read numerous posts...

It is getting worse. I found a spot on the back of my head behind my left ear I can press and it goes away, but it comes back as soon as I let go. I'm really scared now of what it could be and scared I'll never find a solution. The ENT agreed to some imaging, but when they left a message...
