    The Hyperacusis Research Survey

Hi people, The CoRDS survey does not have enough responses for medical researchers to use the data, so we urgently need to drive more completed records. We recognize the platform can be challenging, so it may take some effort to get responses from groups such as people here on this board who...

Able to Go to Loud Pubs/Bars?

I was not specifically referring to your comment but all the above comments saying yeah go clubbing, just take some good earplugs and it will be fine! This really is a nonsense. What I'm surprised of, is that people are telling, yeah go live your life, go to the bars etc... I don't really get it! I mean life is not about clubbing and going to the bars!!! Ok there are some quiet bars where you can have fun, the most important is to enjoy the moment with your friends and...

@Coyotesheaven TMJD related. As usual ENT'S are very useless (the most useless job I could ever know). Go see a postgraded dentist in TMJD. You seem to have all the symptoms.

    Reducing Anxiety Is Key

@Kah Povi Thank you for telling us your story. The best way to deal with anxiety is self-acceptance, be surrounded by good persons and do what you like the most. Buddhism is good way for self-acceptance and be too intelligent make you fear a lot of things (I know what you talking about)...

Flying with Bad Tinnitus and (Especially) Hyperacusis, Experiences?

@Ed209 Thanx for all these explanation. I think the difference between you and @Karel , is that Karel does have H. And it is an important factor. I guess people with mild H can fly with no problem at all but his H has worsened over the past 2 months. I can assure you that with my H, there are...

Flying with Bad Tinnitus and (Especially) Hyperacusis, Experiences?

Hi @Karel As your setback is recent, I would wait, so that your ears can have some rest. 16h trip is such quite a big trip for your ears and I would say it is a bit risky. I know how it feels to be forbidden to travel, but IMO, if you need some vacation, go in a place within your country which...

    Trigeminal Neuralgia Coupled with Hyperacusis

You should go see a dentist postgraded in TMJD. TMJD can bring similar symptoms as facial nevralgias, earaches, tinnitus etc.... I see that your T has an unknown source, you might have a look. In my case, I wear a night guard when sleeping.

@Tom Cnyc Thanks for your feedback. I'm so afraid now of seeing another therapist. I saw one 3 months ago and he triggered this trigeminal nevralgia. Glad that yours has a little bit settled down. Has anyway your pain totally disappear? Do you still have earache?

Hi people, It's me again. I wish I didn't post again as I was feeling better and habituated to my T . So since my last setback, or I think I should call it new noise-injury (a balloon popped at 1,5m from me), I had severe earache in my left ear. I saw the doctor and gave me some Lyrica, it...

Oh ok, you didn't wear earplugs? I use to wear them often in "loud" places and always had my earmuffs with me. Now for me it's impossible to go outside (except very quiet place) without my muffs. That is what people say. I believe my H was moderate cause I got only one ear which was concerned (the other one was sensitive but it was light). In my case, even before this new setback, white or pink noise seem to not work and make it worse. I won't risk doing worse by doing TRT.

    Clubbing/Going Out with Tinnitus

Honestly I wouldn't take the risks. Even your T is not loud, and not noise-induced, you may know that exposing your ears to loud sounds are not good for the ears. And ears are priceless. Why My Tinnitus Changes So Much? I Need Support

I had a doubt, lol. As a non-smoker, I know the deal. And it's worse for a non-smoker to inhale all that smoke than a smoker (because then, they exhale it).
