It's Been a Month for Me!

Here is one member's view on acupuncture which I agree. "My therapist told me that acupuncture helps mostly to people who have stress induced tinnitus (mostly businessmen and such). With other kinds of T, the process of healing is very slow and long. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't...

Tinnitus Onset After Nerve Issues (Pain, Burning, Numbness, Pins and Needles)

@bobthebuilder, I went to acupuncture today and he said it might also be the case. I've dropped it to 30 mg to see what happens. Given the neck muscle stretches are giving some relief, hoping that and the drop in dosage will help. Problem is the neuropathy kicks up a few gears when I do drop the...

@Nics2drescue I know it's been a while but does your intial spike from the accupuncture go away? I'm also doing acupuncture like every 4 weeks. The last time 2 days ago. Later that day I got this new sound (like an eeee above my hiss) and it makes me pretty nervous. Not sure if it relates to...

    Acupuncture for Tinnitus

I've tried acupuncture for tinnitus and also for my pollen allergy, but it didn't help for any of them. I strongly think that acupuncture is just a placebo treatment, or is just not useful for these type on conditions. Maybe it's useful for something else.

    Acupuncture for Tinnitus

My sleep has been so bad I went to a hospital yesterday. They suggested giving acupuncture another try. I find it doesn't help much with the actual Tinnitus but it did help me sleep better. For some time I have been waking up feeling as though I have not slept at all. The acupuncture helps cope...

Tinnitus: How an Alternative Remedy Became the Only Weapon Against the Ringing

There's no shortage of actual medical papers on Pubmed that demonstrate acupuncture and definitely help certain kinds of T. ...they'll say it's worth it. Those that don't get any results, or even bad results will probably say it's a waste of money. I've heard of acupuncture making tinnitus worse, but only temporarily. I've also heard that if a therapy causes tinnitus to increase, it can actually be a good sign...

Shooting a Gun (9mm) without Hearing Protection Gave Me Tinnitus, Hyperacusis, and Hearing Loss

...or to avoid noise in case of hyperacusis... all this is tiring and exhausting. For me it helped but provided very limited relief, only lasted for maybe a day, so it was not really worth it. I had a few acupuncture sessions at a Chinese clinic with Chinese practitioners and then I stopped going.

    Acupuncture for Tinnitus

Acupuncture helps me, not to the point of relieving Tinnitus but to the point of relieving depression and anxiety. It calms me. The days I dont do acupuncture I really feel the down side. It does cost a bit mush. I pray the moxibustion works or relieves the T.

I had acupuncture once for tinnitus. My experience was a positive one, but I think that I have to say that you have to be realistic at what to expect.
