The package I paid is 10 injections, these were forearm intravenous injections. Prescribed by neurologist but conducted by nurse. It took me 2 weeks to finish all 10.

No hyperacusis for me. My tinnitus was 2-4 before the treatment, for the last 2 weeks it is a consistent 2, at times even a 1.

So far, I've only increased my Flupentixol dosage to 2 mg and have had 8 Cerebrolysin injections. The latter seems to be yielding good results, as my tinnitus has been at a 1-2/10 level over the past week.

Is there any way to know in which scientific journal Dr. Susan Shore submitted her paper for publication? We could check the rating and understand how prestigious it is.

I don’t want to discourage too much, but the way the study was conducted in my case was a joke (not blinded, and I was encouraged to report an improvement).

I think people involved in development of medical devices or drugs are excluded from participation in clinical trials to avoid bias. This could be a reason why she might have refrained from testing it on herself.

I have similar concerns as you, sir. In fact papers say 80% of tinnitus patients have it somatic, but I presume, based on testimonies in this thread, most of us can only increase tinnitus sound by clenching the jaw or tensing the neck muscles. I’m not sure I have seen a single claim here of one...

I think it’s a combination of both, it seems to be lower which results in me caring less. You will never know until you try.

Not the first time we hear about a novel drug delivery method. Why still all the leading companies in clinical trials (Frequency Therapeutics, Otonomy, Xenon Pharmaceuticals, Sound Pharmaceuticals) use a standard injection, with some of them even claiming drug delivery is a problem.

Could it be that your hearing improved and you needed less external noise to mask your tinnitus? This would explain why subjectively you perceived no difference in the loudness of your tinnitus, while MML (0 based) did reduce.

Yes I still take it. I can compare it to my previous set which was Sulpiride with Paroxetine. Mimicking Deanxit works better for me. Clonazepam did no good for me, I stopped it after 1 month.

Question is if the mechanism of tinnitus generation is the same in Meniere's as with the other types. I think in Meniere's there is fluid retention in the inner ear, which may suggest mechanical origin of tinnitus. In this case it may not work for other subtypes of tinnitus.

I participated in the study in early 2017. No effect for me. There was no control group and the study was not blinded. I would not put too much trust in it.

Inclusion criteria was only for tinnitus duration up to 1 year. I have had mine for 7 years already, so they did not accept me (I checked with them).
