    Same for me. If I'm around other people or involved in something I can almost ignore. Laying in bed is the worst! When I use a mouth guard it does lessen somewhat in morning..Hoping they find a cure soon!! My friends friends go hearing aids and his is completely gone now!!

    I know that circle! Mine is much worse when I'm not busy, since it's all I can hear!! Xanax helps reduce the anxiety, but I only use it when it's at it's worst. It quiets the ringing!

    I find Xanax helps. At least it calms my anxiety which then lessens the T. I too had a therapist who basically ignored my complaints of T. I think if you don't have it you can't fathom the frustration!

    So sorry to hear about your increase. Millions of us suffer thru this, which helps me to tolerate it at times. The worst is laying down! But I've got to sleep! Mine was worse on Paxil and subsided when I switched to Lexapro. I try to avoid caffeine and alcohol. Hope yours lessens soon!

    Long Time Tinnitus Sufferer, Now It's Become Unbearable

    Know you're not alone. Millions of us deal w this. Mine starts when I wake up and anxiety follows quickly. Today was the worst day in 3 years. Fortunately I have Xanax which calms the anxiety and lessens the rest ringing or at least my thinking about it. This site is reassuring to me.
