I’m Back Unfortunately After a Christmas Party with a DJ

How’s your hearing been lately? I hope some kind of recovery. And believe me, I know what it is like dealing with inexperienced doctors in hospitals. It’s the same here in NYC - everyone you see is a BS intern who knows less than your average nurse. Very frustrating!!

Don’t mean to be so negative Daniel, just keeping it real. Think about it, there is no cure for people paralyzed because of ‘nerve damage’, yet some think there will be a cure for tinnitus. Stefan and Liberman (never heard of them) are giving you pipe dreams my friend. I’m hoping I’m wrong...

Tinnitus Retraining Therapy Is Ineffective, Latest Study Finds

If TRT doesn’t actually reduce the tinnitus volume, but helps people not think about it, then it’s just good ol' habituation happening. Maybe TRT is just a way to help some habituate. Me personally, if I had loud tinnitus, I know I would never habituate. Mine is very mild to moderate, and it...

    Doing Nothing Worked for Me

I do like the idea of just not giving tinnitus any attention at all to rid yourself of it (habituate). However, one should still be cautious with attending loud venues, flying when having ear infections, certain ototoxic meds, etc. Otherwise ‘doing nothing’ can make one's tinnitus get worse...

Will Loud Noise Worsen Cold-Induced Tinnitus?

That’s a tough question to answer. Unfortunately, no one knows for sure. I believe once someone has t, there whole hearing system is compromised, so I wouldn’t take any chances. Even though your t was caused by a cold, you still could have damage done by loud noise over the years, possible...
