With my hyperacusis getting little better, those plugs are allowing me to be in the club once again which is surreal. Anyway, I'm still waiting for some cure that will help me hear just as before, but I'm less dramatic about that... Just please, don't scream into my ears :D

Caffeine Slows Down Hearing Recovery After Loud Noise Exposure

Im daily caffe drinker, but at day in and after trauma i've drank much more caffeine than usually. But maybe it's just coincidence, i have seen somewhere on this forum other studies suggesting that caffeine can protect hearing during noise exposure.

    Hyperacusis Simulation?

This tinnitus example is so insane i don't think if one in thousand of tinnitustalk members ever experienced it like that. Hyperacusis is hard to simulate, in my experience it was(and now is again) like everything sounds normally, but you are getting uncomfortable at lower volumes.

Can you bring more information about his recovery? Like other symptoms he had, and recovered from them through the year? Most of the ENTs told me that when you lost some hearing due to acoustic trauma and it will not come back in few days, it is lost forever.

    Scared and Depressed

Even if you will get better in following days, i would suggest you to gave up clubbing and concerts for ever, your ears are showing signs that they cannot bear that much volume, nothing is worth getting your ears destroyed. ...And earplugs aren't enough to be protected in clubs.
