Tinnitus Ramps Up in Hearing Protection

The earmuffs I use at work are the Peltor X Alert. They are incredibly helpful because they allow you to cancel out ambient noise while still being able to talk to people. If there is a sudden loud noise, it cancels it out effectively.

Can Stress Have Permanently Made My Tinnitus Worse? Unable to Cope Anymore

It has been a tough month. Taking a vacation turned out to be a bad idea. I ended up taking Zopiclone for sleep all week, but I stopped it two days ago. My doctor suggested I try Mirtazapine instead. Wow, on the first day, my tinnitus became so quiet, around 2 out of 10. This morning, I woke up...

Can Stress Have Permanently Made My Tinnitus Worse? Unable to Cope Anymore

It all started two weeks before the flight. The morning flight made it worse, and by evening, when I tried to sleep, it was noticeably more intense. I should also mention that my mind is so focused on sounds that I hear clicks in my ears every time I swallow or eat. I’m trying to ignore it and...

Can Stress Have Permanently Made My Tinnitus Worse? Unable to Cope Anymore

Hi, Here’s a bit of background on my situation: My tinnitus started after exposure to loud music in 2021. For the first six months, I was in a terrible place but managed to habituate, and eventually, I stopped noticing it. Since then, I’ve always protected my hearing. Recently, I’ve been under...

DJ at Young Age, and Now Got Tinnitus from Loud Music at a Party

Hi again, It’s been two years since my last update. I’ve had a good life with my tinnitus. At one point, I think it even went away for a short period. Last year, I received a promotion to a managerial position at work. It went well overall, but the job was stressful, so I looked for an easier...

Hello again. A year has passed since my onset, and I thought I should update my post. I still have it, yes, but there have been weeks, even some months I can't hear it. It think it's because of habituation. I was in a very dark place before and even got a rope ready to hang myself. Now I'm...

Before tinnitus I was depressed and always unhappy with my life. I have bipolar disorder, but tinnitus made me think about how I can live better, eat more healthy food, meditate and just not worry too much. I write notes on my phone if I have a depressive day (just like the method for...

1 month since my last update. I am back to normal again, thanks to this method. Or should I say, even more happier than before tinnitus. Yes it's screaming loud today, but it will get more silent again. I can finally sleep without background noise. My responses to tinnitus is 3-4 times a...
