I get the exact same thing when i listen to loud music or play my guitars too loud... A period of silence, followed by a shrill, aggressive upturn in the tinnitus that lasts for a few days. It always seems to go back to the baseline level though, and i hope yours has too. Best of luck to you.

I listen to music everyday, at pretty much the same volume i used to. Granted, the tinnitus flares up for a little while afterwards but it rarely bothers me now. On the other hand i haven't dared played guitar/bass at anything approaching the trouser flapping volumes i used to... it's too much...

Yeah, a constant rumbling/deep bass sound for about 3-4 months. Given that i haven't bothered visiting a doctor or had any significant diet or lifestyle changes i'd have to say it just disappeared of it's own accord. Saying that, i'd much rather have kept the rumble and got rid of the high...

I occasionally experience a loud 440 hz reference tone which'll last for 10-20 seconds. It's something i'm used to now. The first time however it lasted a good minute or two which was a far from pleasant experience.

I've had something akin to this. For me it sounds like a car outside the house with it's engine idling. It used to be there constantly along with the high pitched sound and the chirruping crickets sound, but then it just seemed to disappear.

Thief 1&2 are amazing. I'm a sucker for non-linear games which don't force you to play a certain way.

The original Deus Ex. An awesome cyberpunk/dystopian FPS/RPG. Also loved Fallout 3 and Skyrim. The amount of hours i've put into those games is probably quite embarrassing.:cool:
