    Please Help. A Huge Setback.

I've had one sided pulsatile tinnitus for just six months now. After a horrible start I was just making some baby steps toward acceptance. Less anxiety a bit better sleep. I began to think I could cope with my soft pulsating in one ear. And now I seem to have developed pulsatile tinnitus in...

    Ibuprofen for Inflammation?

This might seem counter intuitive, but if pulsatile tinnitus is caused by ETD / inflammation, wouldn't an anti inflammatory such as a small dose of ibuprofen actually help? Used in conjunction with a steroid nasal spray. In reducing inflammation? What do people think? Or are all NSAIDS a...

Increased Pulsatile Tinnitus Due to Virus?

I contracted a sickness bug off my family yesterday. Because I have pulsatile tinnitus I noticed an increase in my heart rate last evening when I didn't feel well. And then I was sick. I hardly slept last night as usual. Just one hour. I tried a strong brew of chamomile tea middle of the night...

    No Sleep. Feeling Desperate.

How do you cope with no sleep? None last night. Not even 5 minutes. I feel wretched, like I can't go on with this torture anymore. I've been like this 5 months now. I get 4 hours max. I tried meds before but they created more problems than they solved. Lay awake all night listening to PT all...

    Pulsatile Tinnitus Quiet After Exercise

I have pulsatile tinnitus and while it's loud during excercise it goes away for a while after excercise. Almost silence! Although it comes back later. Does anyone else experience this? Or know why this is the case?

    Overwhelmed! Little Sleep. Not Coping.

I'm nearly five months in with mostly unbearably loud wooshing tinnitus in my right ear. Noises in the left ear too now but it's mainly the right. Been to docs, ENT, had MRI scan already. All clear. No answers. It's the anxiety and insomnia on top that gets me more and wrecks my ability to cope...

Salt — OK or Bad for Tinnitus?

Just wondered how many people here restrict salt in their diet? And found it worked. The hydrops diet recommends no more than 1.5 - 2g salt (soduim/salt?) in a day. I find this very hard to follow, especially when not at home. And yet I've had seriously huge spikes when I was following it to the...

    4 and a Bit Months...

Hello everyone! I have had tinnitus for 4 and a bit months now. It started with just a hiss in my right ear and a feeling of blockage. It got louder! and louder! - to the point it was like the whole side of my head was vibrating! And then I got stressed (hard not to) as things went from bad to...
