    Some Positive News Regarding Spikes

Hey guys, It's been a few months since I've posted on here! If you look through my most recent posts, you'll see I suffered from spikes a few months ago. I just wanted to check back in and let you know that the spike is gone, either I got used to the new noise, or it left, at this point I don't...

I Have a Question About New Sounds

Those who have sounds change for more than a few days due to a spike or whatever reason, did they go away? Did they stay? Are they bothersome? Did you habituate again? I'm asking because I've had a recent new sound in one of my ears and it's quite bothersome but I can feel myself starting to...

    Spike from Wax Build-Up

Hey guys. I was just at the doc and it seems my ear with the spike is full of wax. They want to syringe my ears on Thursday following two days of olive oil treatment. I'm VERY apprehensive about getting my ears syringed. I got it done 6 months before I had T and I hated it, and I've heard...

Is This a Spike? A New, High-Pitched Sound Has Started This Morning

I just want to get clear on the terminology of a spike. I've had various sounds in both ears since my T started which I got used to. However, now a new, loud, high pitch sound has started, for apparently no reason, I just woke up with it one morning. Is it a spike? Or has it changed forever? I...

    Prednisone Post Spike?

Hey guys, I know there's been many posts like this before but I'm just wondering if it'd be worth taking prednisone following my spike? Spike started on Wednesday morning so I'm wondering if I should take some as there is some in my parents house. If so, what dosage is recommended? Cheers guys!

    Long Time No See

Hey guys, it's been over a year since I've posted on TT. The reason I'm back is because my T has changed. I had habituated to the noise after about 6/7 months, meaning I could still hear it but it never bothered me anymore. However, yesterday morning, I woke up to a new noise in my right ear...

    Feeling Good?

Hey TT. I've had T for about 4/5 months now. It's been a very very tough road. I'm finally starting to feel normal again though. My T is still there, but I've finally just learned to not care so much. I don't know how, I don't know why. It's just not the first thing/last thing on my mind...

    Yawning

Does yawning change anyone else's tinnitus? Ear popping also changes mine. Physically manipulating my ear canal also changes my tinnitus, makes the sound change. Do these things happen to anyone else? Thanks :)

Loud Music and Different Tinnitus After

Hey guys, I recently went to a debutante ball (debs/prom) two days ago. It was very loud, there a band and a DJ. I hadn't got ear plugs with me so I had to endure it. Anyway, when I got home from it my T had changed. My regular T went and there was a different sound, more low pitched and kind...

    Ears Popping

My ears continually pop every day, whenever I sniff through my nose, and when my ears pop in the noise changes. Cause of tinnitus is (I think) ear infection. Could this be related? Whenever I pull on my ear the noise changes too.

    Just a question.

I was just wondering if anyone elses T changes whenever their ears pop in/out? Whenever I sniff in, my ears pop and the sounds changes. When I swallow back, the sound changes back. Does anyone else experience this?

ETD and tinnitus and a question about touching ears.

I have what I think to be ETD caused T for 2 1/2 months. The reason I think this is because I had an ear infection at the onset of the T. I also have had sore ears when I burped, coughed or hiccuped for a few weeks. Ever since the onset of the T, whenever I sniff, my ears will pop and whenever I...

I Can't Shake the Feeling of Hope That It'll Go

Ever since my T started I've been told me lots of people "it's going to go, don't worry". Two GP's said to me it will go within weeks and that they didn't think that playing drums for over 7 years had anything to do with it, that my cold/ear infection was the cause. I took a round of antibiotics...

    A few questions.

Hey all, I just have a few questions I'd like to ask you all about what you think about some things regarding tinnitus. 1. What does habituation sound like? It is just like silence as you no longer hear your T? 2. Can T actually go? Not just habituate, but actually completely heal itself? 3...

Tinnitus Without Hearing Loss? Need Help.

Is it possible to get tinnitus from hearing damage without having hearing loss? I recently (nearly 10 weeks) have developed tinnitus, mainly in left ear. In the beginning there would be changing tones in both left and right ears but that seems to have subsided, it's only really a high pitched...

Six and a Half Weeks Now

Hey guys. I've posted the following on /r/tinnitus on reddit and thought I would paste here and get a second opinion. So I got my tinnitus 6 1/2 weeks from today. At first I didn't really notice it, I was watching Groundhog Day and it noticed a slight ringing in my left ear. No big deal, I play...
