It's been almost 4 years with this and I'm still in denial about it. Ears should not ring. It makes no sense and is completely uncalled for!!

What would you have rather have gotten other than tinnitus or hyperacusis? I tell ya... I'm in a wheelchair and rely on just my arms to get around and would have rather broken an arm instead of getting this horse shit.

A lot of radio shows have segments where callers can call in and talk about stuff. I think we all should start doing this. Your call is heard over the air across whatever area you are in. I think awareness would sky rocket if we all did this.

Is it standard procedure to have an MRI included in the many initial tests they give you for tinnitus? Also, does anyone know if they can even do an MRI if you have metal in your face?

I live in the US. I wonder how much it would cost to fly overseas to see Dirk De Ridder. I wonder what the total cost would be for air travel, testing, possible treatments etc.

This was an interesting watch. This poor guy had an unknown condition far worse than tinnitus. Don't know about hyperacusis though. Severe hyperacusis that is.

How many of you knew that loud noise could cause tinnitus or hyperacusis? Just a random observation. That's all.

Ever since I came down with this shit condition, i've involuntarily learned a lot about clinical trials and such. They test all these new drugs very slowly to determine side effects and to see if the drug is tolerable. Don't you think that they would of caught the side effect of T in vicodin...

So I was thinking about flying out to Dallas to undergo a tdcs study. I live in Indiana so this is a major step for me. Does anyone know anything about this type of treatment? I read online that past studies werent that good. Just wondering if it's worth the trip.

The biggest enemy of tinnitus is the current time we are living in.

I was just thinking, the heart is the most important part in the body and they have no problem doing heart transplants on people. They can already remove the inner ear and put cochlear impants in. Why not an inner ear transplant??
