The Shore device is designed to treat / lower tinnitus, not mitigate or restore hearing loss. So I would guess hearing protection is still an absolute necessity. Hopefully other researchers can crack THAT code in our lifetime, but the Dr. Susan Shore device is a major step in the right direction.

My ENT is now up to date on all tinnitus research, especially Dr. Shore’s device. Thanks to me. Lol.

From what I understood reading the study, it has more to do with the timing of the electrical impulses than its amplitude. Hope this helps.

I’ve tried Oxytocin nasal spray. It didn’t do squat for my tinnitus and insurance didn’t cover it. It was approx $150 for a single bottle. It may help others but did nothing for me. Good luck.

Make sure you’re taking Glycine with that NAC. Both are needed to form Glutathione within a cell, and NAC is the rate limiting step... People dose up on so much NAC they deplete their Glycine. Good luck.

Agreed. Tinearity is a white noise generator and is more unsightly than the Widex hearing aids I have which are already generating sounds (and which do nothing for my tinnitus). The Auricle device is designed to actually lower the volume of your tinnitus. Just waiting patiently for its release.

My older brother had a cochlear implant put in on his right ear which was completely deaf (with tinnitus) after a scuba diving mishap. He now has some hearing in the ear (albeit mechanical sounding), but the tinnitus remains. Just thought you should know. Take care
