    Single Exposure at Nightclub

Hello, I would suggest to avoid noise but also silence. Dont do drastic things like wearing plugs all the time, but be mindful when the sound may be too loud, for example cover your ears when an ambulance passes by. Secondly, I feel really angry that such things-People getting T from single...

    I'm So Done

He may be correct. Normal noises cannot give anyone hearing loss. There may be a very serious disease behind this. You need a proper medical evaluation.

    Hope for Musicians :)

Ok, looking at your profile I think you really need help Apolonia. I received something like xylocaine and also I take magnesium, zinc and calcium supplementation daily (partially because I'm a vegetarian). I think you should see a really good audiologist. It should be an audiologist that...

    Hope for Musicians :)

@CsaulNol I did have hearing loss straight after the incident but it returned back to normal, I have had several audiograms. I got this shitty thing because of a rock concert, I had no idea that one time noise exposure might do some harm. Still, its great that I decided to go to the hospital...

Feel Isolated / Alone. How Is Everyone Else's Social Life These Days?

Cinemas are fine for me, even without plugs. But I always keep them with me just in case. It's all about moderatration. Also, I go to concerts and I'm going to go to a jazz concert soon. If you w decide to go to a gig: get custom moulded earplugs, take magnesium, stand in the back. That was the...

    Hope for Musicians :)

Sadly I'm not! But I would like to... I only have private lessons with a very competent teacher. Maybe one day I will go to a music school, I hope so. I work on my skills a lot. Also, a warning I think I need to give you. I recently got a bad spike because of... it's a long story. I had 11...

Hello there :) I'm a 20yo girl from Poland I just wanted to post quickly here that soon it will be my 4th year of Tinnitus and I'm managing well :) I was on the verge of losing my passion in music when I got an acoustic trauma. Hopefully, I had it cured in hospital and my acoustic trauma almost...

    Noise-Induced Tinnitus — I Live a Normal Life Now.

Well, I said it depends on a person, right? My Tinnitus was loud, unbearable and highly reactive to different stuff (music, bars, car ride, alcohol) at first and then it gradually got better. I started going to gigs about half a year after i got T. because I was too scared to do anything, even...

    Noise-Induced Tinnitus — I Live a Normal Life Now.

Hi guys! I've had T. for a year since a very loud concert. I had drips back then to help my hearing recover but, unfortunately, the tinnitus nightmare returned a few days later. I had a very hard time back then and I couldn't deal with the fact that my passion- music- might have been gone...

Is Anyone Currently Doing "Nothing" for Their Tinnitus?

I take ginkgo biloba tablets, They still don't seem to work, though (have been taking them for about 2 months) maybe this will change in the future. For the noise, I don't mask it on purpose but I love music so it works better than any aid ^^

So Who Still Goes to Concerts!

Look at your problem in this way: even rock stars carry on playing after getting H and T. Joey Jordison had to leave the stage once due to his Tinnitus and unbearable ear pain. But he still plays live music which isn't the quietest! Ozzy Ousborne has his T. so loud that he can't hear his mobile...

    I'm Depressed — 18-yo with Tinnitus

I just wanted to update you. I don't drink anymore or smoke. I try to be gentle with my hearing but I don't protect my ears on daily basis. I've been through a tough time but I managed to find a way out. How could I name it? Ignorance? Now I'm feeling a bit anxious about forthcoming AA's show...

Do You Believe in God/a Higher Power? Does Prayer Help You Cope?

Even if God exists, it's mainly your business how you cope with T psychically. Nuff said.

    Concert Tonight... Advice?

geg1992, I know what you a talking about, I personally got T. from Asking Alexandria's show, standing in the first row + there was a lot of fangirls who screamed just into my ears. Lol. Metalcore's dB levels are way too high. And it seems that the people that were in charge of the sound did sth...

Does Your Tinnitus Increase When Exposed to Loud Noises?

My tinnitus doesn't get worse in loud situations (even at school) unless I try to scream/ growl XD I should have thought about it before, sigh, now I'm suffering... Hope it's just temporary.

    I'm Depressed — 18-yo with Tinnitus

I know I should forget it but for the last few days I've been feeling a lot of pressure in my ears and head. Maybe it's not due to the acoustic trauma I've suffered but it's my new hearing protectors fault. I went crazy about overprotection and wore them on every break eventhough they're not...

How Many of You Hear a VERY LOW-PITCHED Rumble?

Yes, I do hear rumble sometimes. Especially after a long ride in a car or drinking alcochol. Also, just after my acoustic trauma it was just unbearable. It didn't change. Fortunately, I got medical help just in time. I still have my T. but it isn't as bothersome as it was in the beginning.

    I'm Depressed — 18-yo with Tinnitus

I really wish I could have a good life but my life is dull without music and I can't bear the thought of not going to any concerts anymore or stopping dreaming of being a drum master. Maybe if I was a classical music fan and nature lover I wouldn't go so crazy about my T. The thing is, I can't...

    I'm Depressed — 18-yo with Tinnitus

Thanks for your support. :thankyousign: I've had two audiograms and the doc said my results were perfect. I have no hearing loss at any frequency. What are the chances of my tinnitus completely going away? Regarding the fact that I've bothered it a few times with alcochol (I drink occasionally)...

    I'm Depressed — 18-yo with Tinnitus

I can't be off school at all, probably. It's my last year there= a lot of stress and pressure before exams. And a lot of lessons and extra lessons, of course. My ears sometimes hurt even with no sound, so I don't know.

    I'm Depressed — 18-yo with Tinnitus

I don't think I have hypercausis (at least not all the time, unlike my T.), I just know I have to avoid loud noise (just like my doc said) and noise is inevitable at my school. There are over 1000 people here and music that drowns their shouting out...
