Spikes During Sleep and Blood Pressure

I am currently have large spikes in T volume when I just wake but it gradually goes down after I walk about a bit. And I notice my T slowly increases in volume when I lie down. This didn't happen before in the past few years after I habituated to my T. I suspect lack of sleep has caused my...

Acoustic CR® Neuromodulation: Do It Yourself Guide

I am trying this at home using speakers instead of headphones as in my office. So far, its working just as well at suppressing my T. It's gone down all the way to pre-spike levels. The only problem is that the higher pitched sounds are quite grating (like chalkboard scraping) unlike the more...

Acoustic CR® Neuromodulation: Do It Yourself Guide

Wow, this works really well at suppressing my tinnitus at my workplace. Currently going through a bad spike and having trouble focusing on my work. Masking sounds (rain, waterfall, crickets etc) only partially work but this site really reduces the intrusiveness of my T so that I barely notice...

    Bad Tinnitus Spike, Can't Sleep

I am glad to report that the extreme spike came down after an hour or so. I am still stuck at the level of the original spike though but it is much more tolerable compared to that nightmare last night. I am thinking of making an appointment at a neuromonics clinic near my home. But from what I...

Hi Michael, Thank you for the info. But I don't think this applies to me as I have been working with computers for over 5 years since my T started and never noticed any problem.

    Bad Tinnitus Spike, Can't Sleep

I don't attend concerts or go to venues where there is loud music. I suspect I have high frequency hearing loss which initially triggered the T but I don't quite know how I got it - there is no one single event that I can pin point it too. I suspect it is because of my constant exposure to loud...

    Bad Tinnitus Spike, Can't Sleep

I have used cricket sounds too before and they usually work quite well for me. My current spike though, is so bad that it doesn't do the trick that it usually does.

    Bad Tinnitus Spike, Can't Sleep

    Bad Tinnitus Spike, Can't Sleep

I just woke up with a huge spike in the volume of my T. It is much higher than my usual spikes after waking and it won't go down even after 15 minutes. I am hearing it over shower, masking everything etc. I am really panicking now, I don't understand what's causing this. Could it be earwax or...

I have gone on several long haul flights (more than 12 hours) since having T and never had any problems.

    Bad Tinnitus Spike, Can't Sleep

I have tried downloading some Android apps that play relaxation noises. However, I find they are not very good at masking my T as there is a very high pitched component to it. The sounds may mask most of the T but the high pitched, most annoying part get emphasized instead.

    Bad Tinnitus Spike, Can't Sleep

Hi all, New to these forums. I have had tinnitus for over 5 years. When I first noticed it, it was pretty mild but I have the type of personality that's easily stressed so I was quite bothered by it initially. However, I eventually habituated within a couple of months and it hasn't bothered me...
