    Does Anyone Else Hate Facebook?

Never had an account or been on Facebook, except on a couple of occasions where a link sent me there to view a menu or something similar. But then I don't have a smart phone, don't do twitter, or do texting. I have a 10 year old flip phone that I use maybe once or twice a month to order a pizza...

Dental Work (Including Drilling) & Tinnitus — Questions and Experiences

I just noticed this posting after I commented on different posting on dental work at https://www.tinnitustalk.com/threads/dental-work-%E2%80%94-new-tooth-implant-or-bridge-%E2%80%94-afraid-it-will-make-tinnitus-worse.26189/#post-331307. May useful........

Dental Work — New Tooth (Implant or Bridge) — Afraid It Will Make Tinnitus Worse

The big plus to implants is the use of low speed drilling into the jawbone. It's mainly a mild vibration, but relatively quiet. From what I know, most other procedures use high-speed, noisy drills. I've had 5 implants over the last maybe 10-12 years. Other than one implant screw loosening up...

I Probably Will End It All

I'm late to your posting, so I hope things are getting at least a little better for you. I can certainly relate to "defeated and hopeless." Today was a particularly bad day for my T when I saw your post. I try to remember what the 12 steppers' motto is - ONE DAY AT A TIME. Or even one hour at...

    The Silence Complete

I've tried a couple of the "as seen on tv" tinnitus remedies. Since supplements are not regulated in the USA, manufactures can claim anything, with a legal disclaimer quickly flashed (too fast to read) on the bottom of the tv screen in tiny font. The last couple of supplements I investigated...

    Who Here Owns Cats?

I can relate to that. Very cute kittie! They seem to own us, don't they. But cat lovers don't mind.

    CAT Scan for Ears/Head

I don't think you'll experience any problems with a CT scan. I had one a year or two ago and it was a breeze. No side effects with my T&H. Unfortunately nothing was found with regards to the T&H or the headaches or ear pain. Due to my severe hyperacusis having an MRI is not an option for me. I...

The Addictive Nature of Tinnitus Talk...

A good topic and posting. I don't come here too often. Been a member for maybe 2 years and didn't start posting until a few days ago. I'd occasionally just scan the forum for any "tidbits of help" as you say. I think I've tried most everything that had any hope of helping my T&H. I find my...

    So Lost — Help Needed

A great suggestion. I had a great GP who worked with me until he passed away. He found my tinnitus intriguing from a medical viewpoint and was very kind and helpful. Among other things, his caring and understanding and willingness to listen to me was a big help in itself. A good bedside manner...

Need a Good Antidepressant... Struggling Badly

I believe I've tried five or six anti-depressants over the years. Amitripyline makes me very drowsy and actually made the depression worse at times - but it did get me some good rest. I take it maybe 2 to 3 times a year when I get desperate for sleep. Wellbutrin made the tinnitus worse. Tried...

    Who Here Owns Cats?

Well, the topic enticed me to make my first post. He'll be 11 years old in July. He's a bit eccentric, but he's good, quiet company. He loves to hop in the warm dryer right after I pull out the clothes. Dogs aren't an option for me due to my hyperacusis.
