    Additional Hearing Loss

Thanks for your reply. Vertigo is better today. Moving slow just to be safe. I was diagnosed with sudden nerve hearing loss they never figured out why which is almost 3 years ago. Vertigo was under control for a long time until now. Just can't figure out how or why this happened out of the blue...

I'm almost at 3 years of losing 65% of my hearing in my right ear with tinnitus in the same ear and out of nowhere 2 days ago the tone in my ear changed got full blown vertigo and lost the rest of the hearing in my right ear. Has this happened to anyone else? Any idea why this happens? I...

I got tinnitus from wearing Apple earplugs for 2 minutes at full blast

I can tell you getting to a doctor as soon as you can is key. I suffered sudden hearing loss with T in my right ear and was on high doses of steroids for 2 weeks and gained some hearing back which wouldn't have been possible without seeing an ENT right away. I use Boise noise canceling...

Does Lack of Sleep Make Your Ringing Louder?

I use Xanax only when it's really bad. Z-Quill which is new from the makers of NyQuil is very good and definately helps you sleep.

    Always crying

I'm over 8 months in and have hyperbiscus as well as significant hearing loss in 1 ear with frequent vertigo attacks that come out of nowhere even when driving. My T has been so loud for the past week I want to scream. I find that using the noise canceling headphones to listen to music helps...

    Always crying

I'm almost 9 months with T and significant hearing loss in 1 ear. You will have good and bad days as I'm sure we all do. I miss the complete silence and hope to be able to enjoy that one day. I have been using a pair of Boise noise canceling headphones to listen to music when my T is really bad...

    Spike...yikes!!

Mine always spikes with the weather especially the barometric pressure. I can say wearing my hearing aid when it's really bad helps take the edge off the screaming in my ear!

    Hello. New Tinnitus Sufferer Here

I've had my T since 5/13 along with hearing loss and dizziness which I have been told is vertigo. You will have good and bad days as I'm sure many will tell you. The dizziness comes from your brain trying to readjust to what is going on with your ear ( this is what my audiologist told me). I...

    Tinnitus Masking: In-Ear Maskers

It took me a long time to get used to it. I had the trial for about 6 weeks. I started using it for 4 hours a day and worked my way up. It really helps with the T and it took quite a few months for my brain to adjust. It takes time and is really frustrating but it does help!!

    Tinnitus Masking: In-Ear Maskers

Neenie. I also saw 2 different ENT's both pretty much on the same page one top in my State. Both told me if you sufferered hearing loss the T will never go away. I have had 1 hearing aid for several months now and I can say when I do wear it it definately calms down the T. I also wear headphones...

    Weather Changes

Thanks! Makes me feel better I'm not losing it on top of the T! It's so hard to explain to people who don't have it and don't know what it feels or sounds like. It's been a horrible couple of days with the high barometric pressure and the crazy weather right now in NJ it doesn't look like its...

    Weather Changes

I have noticed my tinnitus is worse with drastic weather changes or when the barometric pressure is high. Does anyone else have the same problem? My entire head fills up as soon as I walk outside and the pressure is horrible.

    Learning to Live with Tinnitus

Thank you everyone for your input. I am seeing a neuro and had an EEG and need to have a MRA. I'm hoping and think everything will be negative for any type of stroke. I'm a fast paced person so maybe my words are faster then my brain at the moment. I can say from this site and all the ways to...

    Learning to Live with Tinnitus

Karen, Thank you! It makes me feel better to know I am not crazy! All these tests that don't show anything drives me nuts. People don't understand what I am going through no matter how much I try to explain I'm trying to learn how to accept all these changes but it's very hard. This is a big...

    Learning to Live with Tinnitus

MRI/CT scan clear. I don't think the anxiety is affecting the memory, confusion, but can't say for sure since I have never had this before. I feel off if it makes any sense. I get my words confused, have a hard time explaining myself. I never had these issues before. I have my game face on...

    Learning to Live with Tinnitus

Hi my name is Sue and in May, 2013 I woke up to ringing in my right ear and hearing loss. As the day progressed I had full blown vertigo with it. I didn't understand what was going on and thought once the vertigo went away so would the hearing loss and tinnitus. A little over 2 months later...
