Hi everyone had an MRI yesterday with really good headphones covering my ears but the doctor was speaking to me for a few minutes before the MRI started.
As soon as he stopped talking and he was quite loud my right ear started ringing along with pain can anyone please assist with any medication...
Woke up this morning with the dreaded PT tinnitus probably due to sleeping with one pillow faced up.
And as a result have PT and neck and head pain any suggestions?
Hi everyone,
I've had Typewriter Tinnitus for 3 or 4 days.
It can be heard over television and outside noises. It's in my right ear. There's also a bit of pain.
Any help would be great :)
Thanks For the information :)
I hope all T and PT sufferers don't have to wait 5-10 years for an improvement in Treatment but it kinda feels that way :(
When tinnitus is eventually treatable do ye think it will work for everyone no matter the cause or how bad it is?
I'd love to hear a few different opinions:)
Regards Cillian
I highly highly doubt we will have it for the rest of our lives especially anyone under the age of 50 :) with medicine and the medical world advancing every year it's only a matter of time before someone solves it :) keep the faith
Ya I agree with you I just thought of the ATA and how common it is in America and the military that they would be pushing for treatment as quick as possible:)
I always thought it would be America because of the burden it has on nearly half of there Soldiers who return home from war.
And roughy 50-60 million Americans have it unfortunately.
I was told worldwide it effects roughly 300 million people to some degree
@Mario martz i would take any of the above any day of the week over T it's the worse symptoms/disease in the world it might not kill you but does that really matter if it destroys your quality of life ?
@JasonP im thinking of getting hearing aid maskers as I've no hearing loss even tho my TMJ specialist reckons my T will be gone in 3-6 months but I'm not thar optimistic
@Keegan im not sure he said it could take between 3-6 months to notice a difference so hopefully:) fingers crossed. There is s very good chance for you too. If yours started out of the blue and it could go away just as easily :)
He said it will go away but I guess only time will tell
@Keegan i know what you mean when I first got it I was very frustrated. It took 2 months to find a cause. I was told it was sinuses but when to an ENT who referred me to a TMJ specialist. Had X Ray's and my joints checked and turns out over severe night grinding and moving my jaw in my sleep I...
@Keegan sorry if I came off as someone who didn't believe you :). That's not the case T can just happen out of the blue for some people and there are also so many different causes it's hard to pin point.
Ya good advice from @Owen if you have no hearing loss and your T is driving you mad then try a tinnitus Masker :) I'm going to try get my TMJ sorted first and if that doesn't solve my T I'm getting a pair
Yesterday I was messing around with a pen and clicked it in just outside my ear and I fear I have damaged my right ear :( too I'm frightened out of my mind
@Path Maker I've always wanted a cat but I think my dogs would go nuts haha
Here is my Japanese spitz it's late in Ireland so she is a sleep but she's loves being next to me :)
It's ridiculous in this stane age that we can't treat T it's great that pharmacy companies are slowly but surely getting into it if only T had the research Cancer did :(
Hi everyone whenever I turn my head fast without thinking like for example grabbing my phone when it rings I get severe upper back pain.
Is this TMJ related ?
It feels like a race to the finish for the pharmacy companies because who ever is the first to solve it will get very very wealthy and I'll pay every Buck I have along with everyone in the world with T (300 million )
Hi everyone:) I seen my counciler today and we were going back to when the ringing and TMJ started and my first visit to my doctor with my T
I remember when I was driving down a hill I went completely deaf until I swallowed has anyone experienced this ?
