    Hi, I'm Lisa!

Hey guys, I've decided after a brief and great experience here that I won't be returning. My habituation was so good in ignoring T and when I started Zoloft this week I noticed T and caved in and googled forums, what I'm trying to say is reading or talking about it makes me worse. So off I go...

It was hard at first, but honestly I got used to it. I need to keep reinforcing positive thinking and I am fine :)

Thanks! I've decided to put my worries to rest and see a doctor, I'll admit I wasn't too fond of this forum when I first joined as some of the posts were so negative and freaked me out.

I can't explain how weird it is that I've managed to ignore it for so long and now am aware and stressed again. But it gives me hope because I've ignored it before.

So you didn't notice that it was unnormal until she said that? I've had bouts of depression over this in the past and then have managed to mostly ignore it for a long time, weird huh? What made me aware again was some medication.

    Children

At what age did you or your partner have children? And if so, how many and what are their ages? I'm 24 now and a lot of girls my age had kids very young, my boyfriend is the same age and we both eventually want children, just not right now :P

    Hi, I'm Lisa!

Hi LadyDi! I see you are new to this so I can understand why you're upset. But trust me, once you accept it and start to get used to it, you won't notice it. I truly believe you can do this! If I can, anyone can. We only get one life to live, so are you going to let T dictate yours? I am always...

    Hi, I'm Lisa!

Good to hear, Miss Lavender. We all have our horrible days, don't we? But we cope. I know it sounds bad but I try to think of people with worse conditions, then I feel quite silly worrying about something like this.

    Hi, I'm Lisa!

My point is, do not despair, do not succumb to any anxiety or depression over this, it is not the end. My positive thinking has definitely helped me overcome this.

    Hi, I'm Lisa!

Hi Steve! As others have mentioned on other parts of the forum, the first few weeks/years are quite difficult, but I have honestly managed to become accustomed to it! I think if I had complete silence I wouldn't know what to do with myself :P positivity is the key. Like I mentioned in my post, I...

    Hi, I'm Lisa!

Hello! My name is Lisa, I'm from the Land Down Under (Australia) and I have had T since I was a teenager due to excessive noise. At first it drove me crazy but now (at 24) I'm used to it. I am a very positive person when it comes to this condition as I believe that we all face challenges in life...
