This spike has not subsided. At this point I am convinced that there are nerves in the air canal that can get messed up from a manual ear cleaning.

Thanks for all the suggestions but it feels/sounds like this is it. I’m so stupid for seeing a doctor. But what was I going to do, I had ringing in my other ear which was occluded. Anyways it feels like I lost the fight.

I had ear wax removed yesterday by an experienced and reputable ENT. It was done manually. No syringe or microsuction. Now it feels like like my ear is louder as hell. The wax was soft and it was done with tools. Anyone ever have a tinnitus spike from manual ear wax removal?

I am in the worst spike of my life. Had tinnitus unilaterally. For the past month it’s been bilateral and not reducing. I did not do anything. No music, no loud noises. Nothing. Klonopin just knocks me out, but does not reduce it anymore. :(:(:(

If you are having a CT of your head then I would not use ear muffs because the metal can cause streaking artifact in the pictures. Foam ear plugs are fine.

As a CT technologist and T sufferer I can tell you first hand that the contrast does not have effect on T. The CT is not as noisy as a MRI by any means, you just hear the tube spinning up. If you have earplugs in you wont even notice it

The antibiotics are for the pneumonia. For aspiration pneumonia the best treatments are Levaquin, Augmentin and Doxycycline.

The weird thing is that Augmentin is predominantly Amoxicillin, about 87%. I don’t know. FML.
