Poll: Have You Tried Benzodiazepines for Tinnitus?

I've been taking Klonopin for a couple years now. I only take .25 at night, but people have told me higher doses of it seem to help the ringing. Xanax is shorter acting which may make you take more of it. Klonopin stays in your system longer but takes longer to work. I have to take my dose about...

    Flying & Tinnitus

I have traveled twice this summer. Once to Vegas without ear plugs on the plane. What a mistake. The second time I used good quality foam ear plugs and felt much better! I believe I got mine at Target. I also sat in the middle of the plane on my first flight and it was so much more loud to me...

Am I Going to Be Deaf?

Hi Chilly, I'm new to this forum too and around your age. Although I don't have pulsatile tinnitus, I do have some clicking in my ears from time to time (like a ticking time bomb). I understand your frustration. Do you have issues with your Eustachian Tube?

    Depressed & Hopeless

Thank you for your reply. I do agree the death of my father has taken an incredible toll on me. I do take Klonopin at night, but I avoid anti depressants cause I can see they can worsen tinnitus. If you don't mind me asking, how did you bring up the issue to your now husband when you started dating?

    Depressed & Hopeless

Hi, thank you for your inspirational post. I do miss listening to my iPod. I am hopeful for a cure someday. I also have hope for implantable hearing aids.

    Depressed & Hopeless

Hello. Thank you for your insight. Well, all I read online is that constant tinnitus usually means onset progressive hearing loss. At 24 years old, it can only mean that in the future it will just get worse. I have difficulty hearing whispers from the back of me or from a distance. I can't hear...

    Depressed & Hopeless

Hi all! I am a 24 year old/female. I have suffered from constant tinnitus as long as I remember. I also am sure I have hearing loss to go along with it although I am too anxious to go to the audiologist to face the music. I graduated with a degree in teaching and I landed a job right after...
