Post Your Gaming PC Build-Specs with a Photo

I think it's cool and relieving that there are gamers out there that are victims to a similar terrible disorder. Gaming is the one place where my mind is at ease and I don't worry or stress over my middle ear myoclonus and tinnitus :)

    Story Time

Well yesterday night I had a dream of me driving on a highway at 190 miles per hour (idk why but I remember that's how fast I was going in my dream) in a yellow corvette. I see a police car parked and try to slow down but my car flipped like 10 times. When it was done flipping, I got out unhurt...

Share How Your Day Is Usually Like for You?

Wake up at 7 every morning and worry about my tinnitus and TMJ and its "clicking" and "ringing" symptoms. Eat and play video games and possibly hang out with a friend. I love to do stuff but tinnitus and TMJ are making it incredibly difficult to enjoy basic things. Take a shower at night and...

I have had tinnitus all my life and the one thing I do to keep my mind off of it is to play CS:GO and H1Z1 competitively . These games take lots of skill, reaction time, concentration, and knowledge. Are there any competitive gamers out there with Tinnitus?

What Might Cause Ear Fluttering / Contracting? I'm Not Sure?

I have TTS as well with TMJ and Tinnitus. I hate TTS so much and it controls my life (I have severe OCD and don't wanna get put on muscle relaxers or anti depressants) that I consider surgery or Botox. Should I just deal with the TMJ and get a splint to correctly align my jaw?

Depressed — Tensor Tympani Syndrome Taking Over My Life

@Tom Cnyc These spasms could last from 20 minutes to all day. Last Tuesday, it lasted a full 12 hours. From when I woke up at 6 to 4 or so in the afternoon. These spasm sessions usually happen every day or two, with a day of rest in between and when they don't happen. If it was something once...

@Lorac Thanks for the kind words. After all of this I am definetly considering a therapist or something for OCD. I am trying my best with TTS (taking Magnesuim supplements, getting more sleep, etc) and am hopefully praying that Botox in my ear or surgery will relieve it forever. I can only...

Do You Take Something for Depression or Anxiety to Deal with Tinnitus? If So What?

@JasonP I might try that. Thank you for your words, however I couldn't find too much to stop my spasms... This tensor tympani is controlling my life and currently finding a doctor to perform Botox injections or surgery to cut the tendon to never deal with these spasms anymore.

I Am 14 and I Am Afraid of Getting Tinnitus

@MarmiteKFC Gamer here. I would let your ears rest for a few days before putting on head phones. Like the rest, I reccomend low volumes. Also, if you can't use headphones, I would buy speakers and a Blue Yeti mic that way you have no headphones and can still communicate with your team .

    Ready to Fix This!

@whitehorse67 Hello! As a long time victim of Tinnitus, I truly think yours won't be permanent. It seems like your ear got messed up big time with the pressure differences. I would give it a week before worrying about it, and possibly try Magnesuim and Calcuim supplements. Good luck!

Do You Take Something for Depression or Anxiety to Deal with Tinnitus? If So What?
