Pulsating Vein Near Ear. Is This the Cause?

Yea then I must've had an MRI. I don't really get dizzy, just the head pressure but like I said I don't know if that just my anxiety or what. As for diagnosing, I'm really not sure. I was hoping someone on here might now a little bit more about that. @GregCA Do you know much about Dural...

Pulsating Vein Near Ear. Is This the Cause?

Isn't a fistula an abnormal connection between a vein and an artery, almost like a bridge? Perhaps we aren't talking about the same thing or maybe there are different fistula's? I was referring to a dural arteriovenous fistula. I either had an MRI or CT in 2014 when I had my sudden hearing...

Pulsating Vein Near Ear. Is This the Cause?

I've had occular migraines since I was young. They come and go through spurts. Sometimes I can go months to a year without having one, other times I might get 2 in a week. I have over the past month been having some head pressure in the lower forehead area, mostly behind my eyes. Not...

Pulsating Vein Near Ear. Is This the Cause?

I guess the reason I'm thinking fistula is because I feel a pulse and vein behind my ear and I feel like that's not normal. I was under the impression a fistula that would cause pulsatile tinnitus is usually behind the ear. Obviously, I hope I'm wrong but that where I developed the link in...

Pulsating Vein Near Ear. Is This the Cause?

So I've noticed for years that I have this pulsating vein that can be felt behind my left ear. I can actually feel the vein there. I can also feel a pulse in the same spot on the right side, but it's not as strong and the vein isn't as close to the surface. Is it normal to feel a pulse/vein...

Could Use Some Advice on What I'm Experiencing

Hi Dominic, Thank you for the suggestions. I've been honing in on some of my symptoms to see if I can pick up the PT more than what I previously thought. When sitting, if I lean my head to the right side (my side with the ear with sudden hearing loss) I can pick up the PT that way as well...

Could Use Some Advice on What I'm Experiencing

Thank you Karen for welcoming me and for the responses. This board has been a wealth of knowledge since I discovered it yesterday. @Dominic1955. My hearing loss in my right ear is siginificant. I can hear high pitches but everything else is just garbled. If I were to put an ear bud in my...

Could Use Some Advice on What I'm Experiencing

Hey everyone, I'm new to the message board and posted on the other forum, but thought my symptoms might fit better over here. I'm a 27 year old male in great physical condition with sudden sensorineural hearing loss in my right ear that came on unexpectedly 2 years ago. I had an MRA to rule...

    Heartbeat/Pulse in Head When Exercising

Yea I wonder if I should bring this up to my Dr or if this is me being a hypochondriac. Everything online sounds like it's vascular related which is scary. I'm like you the, mine is only existent when my heart rate is elevated during exercise, then subsides quickly as my pulse lowers.

    Heartbeat/Pulse in Head When Exercising

undecided, have you ever asked a Dr. or anyone else about this? I always thought this was normal to have a "thudding" heartbeat inside your head when your pulse rate rises. It never even occurred to me until now that it could be abnormal. I'm starting to worry about it.

    Heartbeat/Pulse in Head When Exercising

Hello everyone, New to the forum but not to tinnitus. I first experienced tinnitus when I developed sudden sensorineural hearing loss in my right ear 2 years ago. It took a month to get used to the ringing and hearing loss in my right ear, but I've learned to cope. What I wanted to ask...
