Finally Found the Cure (Don't Waste Your Life Wishing for the Tinnitus to Go Away)

When my SSHL attack initially hit, my ENT gave me the standard steroid and anti viral meds. That didn't help. Actually didn't go back to him. Only because all my research showed that there is nothing that can be done. As far as traumatic, it just sucks that I lost a good portion of my hearing...

I just hope vertigo doesn't rear its ugly head. Especially if I'm driving or working out. The fullness in the ear is pretty much gone. Still got the damn ringing though.

    You Can Survive Tinnitus

And the really crappy thing is, ever since I got T, I have been wearing plugs or muffs around loud noises. Even cutting grass with my lawn mower. And this hits me out of the blue.

    You Can Survive Tinnitus

Three according to my ENT. Basically up to 65 to 75 db to hear properly. If your hearing is good and you put your fingers in your ears in a conversation, that muffled sound is what I hear in my right ear.

I Developed SSHL and Severe Tinnitus on 4/3/2016

Been having mild T for tears. Have gotten used to that. Been 3 weeks since episode with SSHL and loud T. High pitch. I manage to ignore most of the time. Maybe because I've dealt with a mild version for so long. For me the constant noise helps me sleep at night. It's just annoying when...

SSHL and Tinnitus, Don't Give Up!

Yeah, the 2008 episode, I wasn't given a diagnosis. That's what I was told. Never paid much attention to it though. Still had pretty good hearing. This latest episode, I was given a standard hearing test and a bone conduction test to right side bypassing the ear canal. Same result.
