    HELP ME! I'm Lost...

Really sorry to hear that. The truth is that it really can't be cured medically so doctors won't be much use but some could have a better bedside manner as in your case. But the good news is that not only is it manageable but it can even subside and even better, though admittedly hard to...

    Help Me — I've Had Tinnitus for a While. I'm 12.

Really sorry to hear this. For sleeping, you could try having the radio on quiet. It could mask the sound and listening to the radio is so much more relaxing and normal than listening to that noise in your head. Also, T can be like any kind of muscle pain. Rest it enough and it will get better...

Help Me! I'm Suicidal from Tinnitus

Kaleb, RB2014 really said it all there. I'm so sorry you feel so hopeless about it and yes, it really is bad you've got it so young. But with management, it does subside. With time you will get used to it - and adding what I just said that it does lessen. That might seem really stupid to say now...

    Job Interviews

I don't think tinnitus is an issue for an employer, unless it's a loud job and you may need a little more time at times to get earplugs sorted when necessary. But even then, that can be addressed later. As for the anxiety, yoga is great anyway. I really would recommend that. If it can kill or at...

How Loud Is the Sound of Truck Air Brakes Releasing That Whooshing Noise When They Are Stationery?

Oh, that's loud. And high pitched. Gets me all the time. As I said to someone a few minutes ago, life is loud. But this really can be a bit of an issue, especially with the high pitch. A daily risk unfortunately unless we want to wear earplugs all the time.

The Umpteenth Thread About Spikes: Please Forgive Me

Lazarus, spikes will always happen. But when they do, just take it easy volume wise for a while if you can and they will go away. They can also be caused by anxiety so if you're in a stressful situation, if possible, take yourself away from that. Or try yoga. Seriously. It works.

Is It Safe to Make Music with Tinnitus / Hyperacusis?

I see no reason why you should stop listening to music at all. Just be careful and also, if it does affect you so much, take breaks of silence. I mean, life can be loud anyway so why deprive yourself of this?

Used Headphones to Watch a Show...

I've had the same issue, also with using headphones post T. There will always be triggers that will cause it to spike or return. But over a period of days, or yes, possibly weeks, it will susbide back to where it was before.

21 Years In. I Learned to Cope and Manage It. Maybe I Can Help.

Hi My name's Mark and I've had tinnitus since I was 21. I'm 42 now so that really is half a lifetime. Completely my own fault. I'm a professional musician and play electric bass guitar. Way back when I started at the very late age of 18 I thought I was invincible. Not long after starting to...
