There will be more good news to come. Stay tuned... I am going to wait and see (or hear) I think there's a lot to learn from my experience. And never forget this: We are brothers in this, we will get through this. Of that I am certain.

Enjoyed a Piece of Music for the First Time in Almost 3 Months

Foreign Object Was Lodged in My Ear

The ENT found and removed a foreign object in my left ear. He did this 40 days after the onset of my tinnitus. It removed the sense of fullness in the ear but did not stop the tinnitus. If the tinnitus is because of this foreign object, would the tinnitus not go away after it's removal? How...

Really appreciate the input. Thank-you, I am grateful. In all fairness, genitals turning orange and falling off would not be a deal-breaker for me.

I am new to this site so if this is the wrong section, please let me know. I am curious if anyone here has participated in any sort of drug trials including drug trials for tinnitus. How does one enrol? Is it risky? Is one compensated and how much? How long to these trials usually last...

    Complete Silence!

Yes, since my onset of tinnitus on Nov 30, 2016, this has happened to me quite a few times. It's really strange, and just like you I sit there, don't move and enjoy the silence. Unfortunately it never lasts more than 10/20 mins.

    My First Post Here

@Richard zurowski Wanted to mention that the tinnitus is a result of some minor hearing loss. Is it still possible that it goes away in the next few months?

    My First Post Here

@Richard zurowski Thanks for the kind and encouraging post, my hope is that it does go away. But I am prepared for all possibilities. We will see how it goes. When is tinnitus considered chronic? After how many months do the chances of it going away become bad?

    My First Post Here

@MikeL1972 Thanks for your kind reply. I don't know where the pain in the back of the head came from. The ENT thinks it's from a virus that turned into an hear infection. I personally suspect that I accidentally banged my head on the night-table next to my bed during my sleep. But we don't...
