My tinnitus is mostly in one ear. On the same side I can make cracking sound by closing my jaw. The other side of the jaw is fine. In the morning when I turn my head side to side its as if I hear creaking sounds in my head.

I was doing therapy (had a bad childhood) and dealing with PTSD, then this tinnitus suddenly happened.

Does anyone know of a case where the onset of tinnitus may have been due to stress. With whatever caused the stress, if dealt with, did the tinnitus fade away or at least become less severe.

Is it common for tinnitus to happen so suddenly? I am not doing that well.
