I am on ativan too and it is short acting, so everytime it stops working you will have lower GABA and more glutamate. It can increase T at least temporary. Maybe you could discuss switching over to valium and slowly weening off. At least you are not on a very high dose so thats a good thing.

If there would be a problem my guess it would not be the noise, I have never experienced too much noise in an airplane and using earplugs would definitely protect enough. I think the pressure changes would be more scary to me.

@Greg Sacramento I have read the Ashton manual, I have seen her listing tinnitus as a side effect of withdrawal, but I never seen her take into account those with tinnitus where an actual withdrawal period should be longer. Are you sure about this?

Thats not 100% true, there are definitley things that I can eat that make it worse. Like msg, caffeine, alcohol. Also it is dependable on the individual. If you have certain intolerance or sensitivities for foods or drinks you can spike your T. If you are eating these things and cut them out...

One known side effect of a ssri (zoloft) is brain zaps/electrical shocks. I have personally experienced them while using Paxil, also a ssri. Usually they occur when just starting on or tapering off them. They completely went away.
