    Saddest Thing About Your Tinnitus?

My ENT told me to wait 2 months before I see her again. I don't know if I wasted my time, or they can actually help you. I feel the answer will be there was nothing that could have been done anyways.

I Quit Drinking 29 Days Ago — Is There a Possibily for My Tinnitus to Go Away?

Alcohol relieves tinnitus for abit. At least for me. You should never go cold turkey with a severe addiction to alcohol. It can be deadly. Instead you should have slowly tampered off.

Is This Habituation (I Don't Care About the Noise)

Do you compare the sound to pleasant childhood memories? Sometimes it sounds like grasshoppers and I think back to the warm summer nights, and it calms me down. Sounds were muffled for around 10 days mostly in the right ear.

Tinnitus Since Last Week... From a Movie

Tinnitus sucks :( Felt suicidal at first but I'm slowly accepting that it is there. Doesn't make much sense that our brains create this nonsense signal. 100% scary

    Cutting Ties with Parents

Ah ok, my bad. I misunderstood when you were talking earlier about whether to study music or CS and eligibility for financial aid. Good job so far then carry on :) Again, hats off. Your parents should be proud of how far you are already and that their son will graduate with a good degree...

    Cutting Ties with Parents

Parents can be terribly stringent when they are paying your bills. Being the age you are, early thirties, means you should have moved out 10 years ago or stayed brief with a plan to move. At least that is the culture in the west. Also you are deluding yourself when you are already talking about...

Is This Habituation (I Don't Care About the Noise)

Does anyone know if your tinnitus is really fading or it's just habituation? I go for a night time walk to stress off, I listen to the trees bristle in the wind, the cars passing by, and the church bells ringing. Everything used to sound muffled. I've been able to hear clearly again and my T...

    Cutting Ties with Parents

I have done it with one parent, only because they told me they disowned me and I wasn't their son. That was after years of yelling at the smallest mistakes or taking out their frustrations on me. Years of emotional abuse and I feel much better now that I don't have to listen to that person...

That's so odd. I got my tinnitus on August 9th as well. We are like tinnitus brothers. Unfortunately, this hasn't happened yet f0r me, and I'm getting more paranoid of the thought of it being permanent.

Don't Know Why Yet... But Hello

Welcome :) I'm sorry that you are also suffering. Hopefully you can find peace with your illness. Cluster headaches are rare, but the way to treat them are... unconventional. Perhaps it is something else like MS. I'm no doctor, but I sincerly believe the best for you.

    New to Tinnitus and Scared

Also new myself to this. I've had it for 2 weeks straight, I thought I had a reduction but I believe it is due to ginko biloba, since when I skipped a day it went back up to normal. I find it super scary and the thought of it being permanent scares me to death. Personally it sounds like you...

    Just Diagnosed with Tinnitus

Research chemicals can be dangerous, ironically even more so the legal ones (those not mensioned by Shulgin). I'm curious what chem you took, but since you've taken them for 3 years it sounds unlikely that is the main cause. Benzodiazepines aren't considered research chemicals.

Hello Everyone, New in the Forum, Tinnitus Since 3rd August

Like Fishbone said earlier, we don't have a time machine. Freaking wish we did. Don't beat yourself up now, won't help. Alot of people recover on their own, and that's why the doctors/pharmaceutical companies leave us in the dust. Truth is they don't know much about tinnitus.

Hello Everyone, New in the Forum, Tinnitus Since 3rd August

I'm in the same boat. Weed does make it so much worse, to the point where you are wondering if it will hurt your chances of a temporary T, although it does go back to baseline. I've been reading weed causes more neurons to fire, making you hear the tinnitus louder. Not exactly what you need...
