DIY Low-Level Laser Therapy for Tinnitus on a Budget — LLLT Under 100,-

I think so too. My plan is to get a 10W or 20W IR emitter, put it on a heatsink and to wire it up (no pulsing), just a simple on/off switch. Currently looking for the right hardware and some kind of stand / mount or something to hold it safely.

I am also a bit skeptical. I wonder if power density of 1500 mW/cm2 is sufficient to penetrate deep enough into the skull to reach the inner ear. What do you think?

DIY Low-Level Laser Therapy for Tinnitus on a Budget — LLLT Under 100,-

You are talking about the Infrared device (left) with 760nm and 830nm? This looks like its made to cast a kinda wide beam, since the bulb is relatively small. There is a new device actually, the Infrared 830. It has a big bulb to cast a more "focussed" beam and is 100% 830nm for deep penetration...

That's good news - looking forward for your impressions! I recently thought it might even be better to use the 830nm device, since it has more power and the penetration depth of the IR-range light is better. I dont know if the IR combo has enough power to reach the inner ear since you can...

I dont know if that was too much, might be the case. I'm just diving a bit "deeper" into the field of Photobiomodulation, so don't take anything I say for sure or granted. Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) for Tinnitus — Long-Lasting Everyday Home-Practiced Experiences

Hi Anima, maybe you are doing too much? At Lumomed they told me that they are doing 3-4x30 min per week even in acute phase. They said that the ear needs rest to use the extra amount of energy, maybe that's the reason. No one knows anything for sure, just a quick thought. They also stated...

Hi Wim, I had a treatment with Lumomed in Germany and it didn't help me overall, but I have to admit I only did 5 Sessions (after 4 months of noise-induced T). Poll: Have You Been Tested for Too Much Vitamin B6?

Interesting. There actually is a German ENT which had some success with high dosages of Vitamin B6 (600mg daily) in combination with 1200mg NAC daily. This combination raises Glutathione levels in the blood which he claims is benefitial for the inner ear, especially after acoustic trauma. I'm...

Poll: Have You Been Tested for Too Much Vitamin B6?

I use a Vitamin B complex since I have my T. The one I am currently using has an amount of 20mg Pyridoxin (Vitamin B6). I read that overdoses may occur if you take more than 500mg daily. How much Pyridoxin did your supplement contain?
