    Can Earthing Help Tinnitus?

If what they're doing isn't based on something they read in a peer-reviewed study, but on a holistic "medical" news site, I doubt they care whether or not it's proven standing in the rain is better ion exposure than standing barefoot on the dirt. If the placebo makes them feel like they're...

If you believe it makes you feel better, then absolutely try it out. I don't see any harmful effects from going barefoot in your backyard or around the beach. New Zealanders do it all the time.

Besides Tinnitus, What Other Symptoms Do You Have?

Patulous Eustachian Tube: Randomly Eustachian tube remains open and I can hear whooshing air whenever I breathe or hear my voice very...

Reactive Tinnitus — Removal of Reactivity. Is It Possible?

God, every song on the playlist (damn Christmas songs) causes my tinnitus to react loudly now. Just a year ago it was only the sounds of cars, fans, and certain songs that caused it to react. Taking NAC, but not helping much I feel.

    Hissing Reactive Tinnitus

Exact same symptoms as everyone here. Running water, driving noises, fans, cause feedback in my ears and instantly ends when the noise stops. Worst of all is how it also reacts to music. It's especially prominent in "noisier" genres like shoegaze, really takes the fun out of life sometimes.

    N-Acetylcysteine (NAC)

After taking it for some years, I'm going to say I personally haven't found that NAC prevents tinnitus spikes, temporary or permanent. I can't say for certain it doesn't prevent hearing damage, or if my tinnitus spikes would've been worse without it, but it doesn't outright prevent your...

Have You Figured Out What Things Spike Your Tinnitus?

Burping... Air goes into my ear canal for some reason and I can physically feel my eardrum stretch, like holding in a sneeze. Usually followed by a spike same day or day after. Doesn't help that I burp a lot when I'm awake and asleep.

    Can Mild Tinnitus Remain Mild?

No, it's not a rule that it'll get worse. You do get that impression from being on this site though because people whose tinnitus went away no longer post and have moved on with their lives. Can You Cause Barotrauma by Covering Your Ears and Pushing Too Hard?

Usually most people who got tinnitus through hand-to-ear contact got it from a hard slap, usually from another party. I think you'll be fine the eardrum can flex a bit before being damaged, if you've ever been underwater several feet you'd get a similar feeling of pressure on your ear.

Absolutely not. My speakers fail to produce anything lower than 250 Hz and anything higher than 15,000 Hz. When I asked the audiologist to test 125 Hz it came up as normal. If you want reasonably accurate results you're going to have to find an audiologist that tests above 8,000 Hz.
