@Alue I'm not in the US unfortunately... Do you also recommend them for work use over the provided headset ?

I've not asked them, that's true. They do know about my condition though.

New Job Involves Phone Calls and the Use of a Bilateral Headset

The thing is the headsets are provided by my workplace so I can't really choose what I use. I was going to use some type of earplugs to mitigate the external noise so as not to have to turn the volume up. I have to say I was reluctant to post this question, simply because of the unequivocal...

New Job Involves Phone Calls and the Use of a Bilateral Headset

@PDodge yeah I've seen your posts as well on the topic. Do you think musician earplugs would help even on human voices ? Heard they weren't great for low frequencies.... @Red It's not call centre type, more like B2B. Wouldn't have taken a call centre job but unfortunately can't really pass...

New Job Involves Phone Calls and the Use of a Bilateral Headset

Hi guys I posted a while ago at the onset of my tinnitus which was caused by in ear ear buds and apparently reinforced by some jaws/neck issues (according to osteopaths/chiros). I'm lucky as my tinnitus has always been quite mild, although my anxiety and OCD have been making it hard to manage...

    Driving Myself Crazy

@Bill Bauer thank you for these info. Don't worry I'm not letting her touch my ears with anything I'm not comfortable with. Thanks very much for the advice, they truly help. I need to stop obsessively checking TT as this is becoming really unhealthy for me as I know my patterns. But again...

    Driving Myself Crazy

Hey guys thought I'd give you a bit of an update. My anxiety levels haven't been great since my first post. I have to say that I probably spent too much time on this forum drilling the worst case scenarios in my head, and most importantly worrying about everything that could make my situation...

    Driving Myself Crazy

Okay sorry for the pandering here just wanted to report something that might be of interest. Whenever I bring my head forward standing up (I mean really forward, engaging my back), the sound reduces significantly. Any idea ? Again thanks everybody for their replies. It is extremely helpful.

@kelpiemsp Would it mate the sound migrate and change like that after moving my jaw around?

    Driving Myself Crazy

Guys just to let you know that yesterday night, after the jaw clenching and biting etc, my the noise seems to have migrated towards my other ear.... It's also more of a "sound" now and less of a static.

Don't take it the wrong way I really appreciate any kind of input. But I've looked into it myself and I don't know.... I just don't want to give myself false hopes.

@kelpiemsp I'm just trying not to be to optimistic about this. @Bill Bauer I don't, no. Already know that you're going to say it's not TMJ though ;)

    Driving Myself Crazy

@kelpiemsp Sorry I seem to be getting only half of you messages. I open my mouth when I go to sleep and definitely it is dry on the morning. I'm a post grad so when I'm not at a desk I'm looking down (figuratively, obviously) at customers' tables all day. I have had A LOT of back and hip pain...

@kelpiemsp not sure what pressure I'm not a doctor haha that's the only way I can describe it. When I open my mouth it gets extremely loud.

Ps: @kelpiemsp Can you define forward head posture please ? My GP might have mentioned it

@kelpiemsp opening wide or biting really hard do make a difference. Is it not normal pressure though?

    Driving Myself Crazy

@Greg Sacramento all I know is that my GP said my neck was extremely tense. I don't know though it seems far fetched.

    Driving Myself Crazy

Hi @kelpiemsp and thanks for your reply. No deviation of my jaw. No pain either although sometimes I get aches at the junction between my ear and jaw. Also sour right behind the top of my ear.

    Driving Myself Crazy

Hi Bill thanks for replying. The music is not particularly loud but I'm still very scared of getting a spike though. It's so overwhelming at the minute. I saw you didn't recommend any exposure to loud sounds on other threads. Unfortunately I still need to go to work. I've ordered some musician...

Hi Michael Sorry to bother you. I have been browsing this forum since last week when tinnitus started and I am currently not managing my anxiety at all. Would like to know if I could maybe message ? I can't seem to be able to start conversation on the forum. Many thanks

    Driving Myself Crazy

That's what the GP said as well but I feel like he discarded the fact that I was wearing earphones the night of the onset. It's the only thing I can think about right now I'm terrified this is it. I know it sounds stupid cause there's nothing I can do regardless.... I wish I could just switch...

    Driving Myself Crazy

Hi there I've just signed up but have been reading threads on this forum frantically for a week. I am 25 years old and starting to get extremely worried. Last week I took ibuprofen to 3ase some cramping and listened to my ear buds in bed for about 15-20mins. After that I started hearing a...
