If I get accepted I’ll be traveling about 600 miles round trip. So I’d say yes 60 miles once a week is not bad at all.

Is it a pretty standard procedure that they are using to get the gel into the inner ear? Something that most ENTs do? Obviously there is always room for error.

Do you guys think FX-322 is safe? What if more injections like the four they are doing in the clinical trial is too much? What if that causes very sensitive hearing or the growth of a tumor or something crazy. I guess that’s why it’s a trial, just curious on your guys thoughts.

@JohnAdams you say you have had a lot of inner ear injections. Have you ever had any issues or has it ever made anything any worse?

If any of you were to be accepted to phase 2 what reasons would you not do it?? If I do somehow get accepted I’m not sure I’d go forward with it with having a chance of making it worse or any long term side effects.

My biggest dip is 55 dB at 1000 Hz and the gal said by the audiograms I sent them that this fits into what they are looking for, for the phase 2 trial. Hopefully I can get past the next round of testing.

What do you mean as far as the human communication range? I have the 1st screening scheduled for the phase 2. I have to travel a decent ways. I don’t fee like I have trouble communicating with people. This makes me wonder if the trip is worth it.

I am the same way. I have a low frequency hearing loss. I have a 50 dB dip at 750 Hz & 1000 Hz. Not sure if I got approved for the trial if it’s even be worth it. Also worried about making things worse.

What do you mean when you refer to 12.2 dB reduction? I can only completely mask mine with 70 to 75 decibels of noise so If it worked for me would that reduce that by 12 decibels?
