Hi @Audiophile_bg,
I’m also in Bulgaria and I just got prescribed Carbamazepine by a neurologist here. I took one dose. My tinnitus seems weird today. I have a buzzing and high pitched tones and I can’t tell exactly what’s going on.
Hey, I’m in graduate school for my Masters degree in a very demanding healthcare field program. My T started halfway though the program (around the same time yours did) and what I did is I let the professors know what is going on and they have been really understanding. I am managing well in...
Hey, thanks for the answer. I'm curious because my audiogram is within normal range all the way up to 20,000 Hz but I still have ringing and hissing :(
I think that we’re all very anxious about whether this will work on us or not which is where all the negativity/skepticism comes from.
I just want to wish to every single person who tries Lenire or any other upcoming actual treatment to find some relief. As a fellow sufferer, I know how much...
Hey @rmnkby, this is a great post! A lot of what you said is something that I try to tell myself when I’m feeling super down and anxious. If you don’t mind me asking, how mild is your tinnitus? Meaning.. when do you really hear it? Thanks in advance!
Hi @Lilah, tinnitus has all to do with overactive nerves; however, a pinched nerve would present with pain, tingling, and a numbness sensation and one would know immediately if that's the case.
@MartinNYC nice! You’re so lucky you found the cause. My pt is convinced it’s musle problems in my neck and not my TMJ but my gut is iffy about it all.
Did you have pain in your jaw?
@MartinNYC Thanks for getting back to me! That was good info. My tinnitus goes away when I force my neck in certain positions. Sometimes when I move my head back the tinnitus goes down and while I am holding that position and open my jaw the tinnitus goes away completely again. The moment I...
Sooo should we all buy lidocaine patches and start slapping them on for 12 hours a day and see if it works? We'd have a greater number of participants than the study lol..
Hi guys,
I've had loud tinnitus for 2 months now and have really been struggling to sleep. I take .25 or .5 mg of Clonazepam before bed and I'm kind of afraid to be taking the full dose of 1 mg before bed every night but I've become so sleep deprived that I will begin to take the full dose. I...
@MartinNYC Hey, I also suspect I might have issues with my TMJ but no one (physiotherapist, dentist) is given me clear answers. How did get your diagnosis confirmed that your tinnitus is cause by a TMJ dysfunction?
@Nick M Hey, I just had a blood test done too. Also, Vitamin D deficient; however, my doctor told me almost everyone is unless you are literally out in the sun every day.

@kelpiemsp I’ve never slept with earbuds or headphones on. I have been exposed to loud music in the past such as clubs and concerts and listening to loud music in the car but audiologist says my hearing is excellent.
Here’s my audiogram from about a month ago.
Hi @Dc schneider, that’s interesting. It could be from your Tmj. Do you have problems with it?
Also, I read your initial post. How loud is your tinnitus now?
Hey @Contrast , I'm 23 so I have gone out to clubs quite a few times and I often times listen to loud music in the car and sometimes head phones when I was in middle school and high school. However, after going to the audiologist, she didn't report any damage. She tested me up to the 20k...
NUCCA is a bit different though. The NUCCA Chiro I saw said himself he switched from regular chiropractic to NUCCA because the “regular” chiropractic doesn’t really help in his opinion. I thought that was pretty honest of him to say. @JohnAdams
I feel the same way knowing that I can get huge relief when I force my neck in certain positions but the moment I release my neck the tinnitus immediately returns. Almost like I’m releasing something every time I activate some muscles of my neck.
Is your t unilateral? @Lane
@Lane I'm very happy to hear that you had a positive experience. How long\how many treatments or weeks did it take you to feel relief from our Tinnitus?
Hi guys, so something interesting happened after I had my first NUCCA alignment. I’ve had my somatosensory tinnitus increase severely 4 weeks ago in my originally affected left ear and I also started hearing some faint high pitch noise in my right ear 2 weeks ago. So I decided to start doing...
Hi guys,
I thought it would be interesting if we can all compare what our tinnitus sounds like and how loud it is. If you don't know how loud it is in dB then you can share what it takes to mask it.
The audiologist told me mine is about 16 dB. I can hear it all the time in a quiet room and...
Hi @Greg Sacramento, thanks again for your information. I found something very interesting today that I wanted to share with you. I did some exercises last night and I noticed that when I push up on my palate with my fingers while in a sitting up position, my neck muscles activate and that what...
Thank you for your very knowledgeable response. To answer your questions, my saliva is not think, I don’t have trouble/pain swallowing, my throat is not sore, and I have not had any blood work done in the past 2 years.
It is interesting that you think the oral cavity can be the cause. I have...
Yeah, I’m seeing a physical therapist who specializes in this and he said he has never seen it go away from neck movements. I must have a peculiar case ...o_O
Ps. I saw a TMJ specialist who was a dentist/oral surgeon
Hey, I saw a TMJ specialist to see if I had a TMJ dysfunction and he said I do but it’s mild and my tinnitus doesn’t change from jaw movements at all. No treatment has helped so far ...
Hi guys,
First of all, I'm thankful for this forum and everyone here. I'm a 23F and I remember exactly how my tinnitus started. I was driving in my car in Feb, 2018 when all of a sudden my left ear went numb and a bit deaf.
2 days later the numbness and loss of hearing went away and instead...
