Hi @R. David Case. Thank you for this. I have a quick question for you.
On your website it says that Tinnitus Mix permanently relieved your tinnitus, but I notice from another post that you still listen to this every night. If you don't listen to it, does your tinnitus come back?
I think I may have figured it out. You have to use it first thing as soon as you wake up - for me tinnitus is raging at that point. I am then able to get the positive effect that I mentioned in my original post on this. If I use it later in the day or afternoon, then there is no impact.
Perhaps...
Unfortunately TinnitusPlay has stopped helping me. I had a really good 4 months after I started doing this, but perhaps it was just natural variation I’m now finding no benefit from it, although I use it on occasion for masking.
Sorry I don’t have better news.
Thanks for your comment @Lane. That is exactly what I was thinking because I have some private prescriptions for eye drops that are also available OTC. A quick Google search for Oxytocin made it look like it was available via online pharmacies without a prescription, and so I asked the question...
Hi @David1260.
That’s great to hear. I would like to try this. Which Oxytocin spray exactly are you using? Did you need a prescription, or am I able to get this OTC?
Many thanks,
Adam
Hi Josh. To be clear, I’m using the neuromodulation function, combined with Nuheara earbuds, and it’s been a complete game changer for me. Still working great.
Hi Karen. I’m using 8kHz but my tinnitus tone that annoys me most if way higher. The key is to do the matching empirically. Don’t worry about what your tinnitus tone is. Just try many different frequencies over a period of time and work out the one that works best for you.
Im still feeling...
I have woken up today, and I’m still feeling great.
The high pitched squealing sound that I have had for so many years is down to a fraction of what it was. My lower pitched tones have not changed, but I was not targeting those with the choice of central frequency in the neuromodulation...
I suffered tinnitus worse than I could have imagined in the immediate aftermath of my COVID-19 vaccine - I took the AstraZeneca jab in late May. Things calmed down from that point, but nowhere near back down to the level pre-vaccine.
In my desperation for some relief, I decided to pursue ACRN...
I had my first dose of the AstraZeneca jab yesterday afternoon at around 4 pm.
Initially I didn't notice a significant change in my already intrusive/severe tinnitus.
Then, I woke up in the middle of the night to my right ear screaming at me and a temporary loss of hearing.
Things have...
I don’t think that’s right for the following two reasons. First, Bush banned embryonic stem cells. Second, he did so in the US only. Rivolta was working in the UK and was not using embryonic stem cells.
Glad to see the standard of published research increasing. Most papers out there report positive results when they are clearly not true, with our (sufferers) existence being the proof. So I’m glad to see some honest research for once. That’s a step in the right direction.
Second, I think the...
In 2004:
“Dr Rivolta estimates that it will be between 10 and 15 years before such treatment could be made available, but he says the early indications are "exciting".”
Why has stem cell science progressed so poorly that 15 years later, we are still estimating 10 years for a viable treatment...
Lovely dedication page. When you mention that you witnessed the devastation first hand, can I ask if you were referring to your own suffering with tinnitus, or that of a family member/friend? Writing a PhD thesis with tinnitus is not easy - I did mine in 2010 and it took a lot out of me.
The science doesn’t sound very convincing in that it is well established that inner ear cells cannot regenerate (outside of Gene Therapy or Stem Cell based methods, which this is not). If this works then it is through serendipity and the writers do not understand the science. On the balance of...
I hate to be cynical, but my gut feeling here is that it will be never! More likely MuteButton dies in the wind like its numerous predecessors, although, like others, I hope for better.

This is worth watching. It's the CEO of Frequency speaking on Bloomberg. Take from it what you wish. The article below offers a little more balance in the sense that it mentions some of the challenges that...
There are quite a lot of pages on this thread - too many for me to read through, so apologies if I am not on the right subtopic. However, I was looking for somewhere to document my experience with ACRN at The Tinnitus Clinic on Harley Street. Long story short, it failed for me.
Furthermore...
Very few researchers are so self critical. I have read so many papers where the claim is that some small fraction of people improve, and then the results are not replicable. I hate to pick on someone, but Azevedo's Campral paper is the one that springs to mind in this context. Lots of back...
Somebody nicknamed @bluethundr on Twitter has been accepted to the Microtransponder trial. At the time of writing this, it is his/her most recent tweet. Just thought I would put that information here in case others also wanted to follow along.
