So Basically Once You Get Tinnitus, You're F**ked No Matter What Until Death

It depends on your tinnitus loudness, pitch, and your resilience. I've had moderate tinnitus for years and it never bothered me to the point I was 99 % unaware of it.

Prof. Thanos Tzounopoulos Receives $2 Million Grant

Honestly your email sounds rude. I don't think he is going to reply. You're basically telling him that his research is a waste of time because other drugs are at a more advanced stage.

Unfortunately, this device may not work for those who have moderate or worse hearing loss at the tinnitus frequency, and for those who won't be able to find their frequency, especially if you have several tones, or hissing sounds.

Oticon More™ Hearing Aids Silenced My Friend's Tinnitus

It's just a theory. Cochear implants can improve tinnitus just because they restore the missing signals from the ear.

The mechanism of this drug is confusing. It is supposed to prevent noise-induced hearing loss, but it can also reverse cochlear nerve damages and tinnitus.

Episode 17: Tinnitus, Ingrained in the Brain? — Prof. Dirk De Ridder

I'm pretty sure curing hearing loss will help tinnitus just like when we play our tinnitus frequency on our laptop, we get some very short relief because the missing signal has been restored during a small amount of time. It is just Ridder's own theory, it doesn't mean it is shared by every...

I think you will have to use the device over and over to get permanents results. Lenire gives permanent results for those it works. However, I agree it's not a cure. Unless your tinnitus is mild, it won't disappear with this treatment but its severity may reduce. It also only works for...

A Condition Worse Than Tinnitus: Interstitial Cystitis

I believed that I had interstitial cystitis when I had a bladder problem last year that was actually benign. Basically, I wanted to go to the toilet every 5 minutes. My bladder also hurt when I was sitting on a chair. It was horrible, worse than tinnitus. I was so obsessed and scared that it...

    Tinnitus Retraining Therapy

There is a confusion between habituation, and not reacting to your tinnitus. I think if you don't react to your tinnitus, but you still hear it, you have not habituated. I'm pretty sure it still bothers you. Habituation means you truly don't react to tinnitus and, as a result you don't hear it...

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

I'm confused. I read a few studies about flat cochlear epithelial, one says that it occurs when you have severe hearing loss (70 dB), not profound (90 dB). FX-322 trial includes subjects with mild to severe hearing loss, which means a pure tone audiometry within 26-70 dB. It sucks for those...

    Suicidal

  57. T

    Suicidal

Lenire is different than TRT. I guess it doesn't work for many people because of the settings. There is a large range of values for the signal timing. If you have some skills in programming and in computer engineering, you could design your own device and find the right calibration. Or more...

The number of SGN remains normal, even for people who were born deaf or with severe hearing loss. I don't remember the name of the study but it was posted by FGG. It showed that even 80 something years old people with severe hearing loss/deaf still have a normal amount of SGN.
