Tinnitus from a Bike Tire Explosion

Thank you for your kind words. I will go try to see a therapist, but here in Sweden it can take many months before I can see someone, but I will try. It can't hurt to try. This latest worsening from the show + Voltaren gel, which seems to be permanent, is really hard to deal with. It's a new...

Tinnitus from a Bike Tire Explosion

More than 12 hours since applying the Voltaren gel on my neck now, and the new tinnitus sound is still extremely loud. I really think I messed up big time with that gel. It should be out of my system by now. I feel so hopeless right now.

Tinnitus from a Bike Tire Explosion

I hope you're right. It still hasn't gone down since I applied the gel about 9 hours ago. Haven't slept all night. I feel so stupid for going to the comedy show. It was a "hand puppet comedy show" so when my dad asked me if I wanted to go I thought it sounded like a noise free event. I was so...

Tinnitus from a Bike Tire Explosion

I had pain in my neck so I put Voltaren gel on my neck and now my tinnitus is 10/10 for the first time. The gel contains Diclofenac and it turns out it's ototoxic. I don't know what to do now, it has made the tinnitus insanely loud in my left ear. I feel so stupid not checking it before I used...

Tinnitus from a Bike Tire Explosion

I have had visual snow for about two weeks now. It seems to be permanent when reading about it. It is almost as bad as living with tinnitus. Went to a comedy show with my dad yesterday (he wanted me to laugh because I've been down since tinnitus). I wore earplugs the whole time (only 19 dB...

What Is This Ear Pain? Hyperacusis or Ear Infection?

Do not use Revaxör and syringe bulb or microsuction to get it out. I would be very careful with manual tools as well. I think ear wax removal is as dangerous as a rock concert without earplugs for tinnitus people.

Tinnitus After Earwax Removal — Any Hope for Me?

Did he use microsuction? Was it loud? If it took two seconds I guess he used a curette and just took away the wax. It seems all kinds of ear wax removal is very dangerous. I have used syringe water bulb very gently, and it made my tinnitus permanently worse. There are many stories on this site...

What Is This Ear Pain? Hyperacusis or Ear Infection?

I would not see a doctor in Sweden tbh. Listening to the doctors has only worsened my tinnitus. If you use earplugs a lot, the ear canal can get irritated. I only use earmuffs now.

I bought an ear camera today and it turns out the picture I posted last week was not of my ear drum, it was of the ear canal. Now I can see both my ear canal and my eardrum. Tinnitus for the First Time Ever in Life After Microsuction

Same here, I’m two months in and my life is over in almost every way. If it doesn’t improve soon I’m going to give up. I can’t live many more months like this, it’s impossible. I really hope things improve for you soon. I have read that things can get better for some.

Tinnitus for the First Time Ever in Life After Microsuction

Never trust a doctor with tinnitus issues. My doctor told me to remove wax after my acoustic trauma with water and eardrops, which made my tinnitus go from mild to suicidal level. Then I went back because I had an infection probably caused by the syringing he recommended me, and he gave me...

I understand. If you were in my shoes right now, would you use the ototoxic ear drops even tough the infection isn't very painful yet? It is more causing the ear canal to feel slimmer and full, and some discomfort and itching. The worse thing is knowing I have an infection in my ears and not...

I think this is spot on. The tinnitus is definitely causing my stress and anxiety. I am not an anxious person. It is not like I’m obsessing over my looks or something, I am obsessing over something that is real. It is not in my head, as for example a faulty body image can be.
