TMJ Disorder Complaints in Tinnitus: Further Hints for a Putative Tinnitus SubType

Interesting. My tinnitus started after being punched on the ear/TMJ area over 4 years ago. My tinnitus started suddenly after. I have no visible hearing loss and always assumed it was ear damage I suffered. However I'm now starting to think could it of been my TMJ that was damaged. Around a...

Frequency Therapeutics — Hearing Loss Regeneration

If you don't have any "visible" hearing loss, but persistent chronic tinnitus after a physical trauma to the ear, would FX-322 still be beneficial to get rid of tinnitus, or is it just hearing loss related?

Hi jorge, As of yet no unfortunately. I was due to go back to see a consultant for a follow up, but for some reason I was discharged without my consent. They didn't seem interested in the slightest. The lump is still there same shape size and tendencies as always and I'm still adamant it is...

Tinnitus from a Slap When 6-7 Men Attacked Me and My Friend

Sounds similar to my experience 3 and a half years ago after being assaulted and still have the tinnitus to this day. I don't know if it's got quieter or if I've got used to it, but I can go days without thinking about it. I had the same useless experience from so called experts just fobbing...

What Is This Lump in Front of My Ear?

I've been pushing for an MRI to get it investigated, however doctors keep dismissing it as having any sort of relevance to my tinnitus. Not sure how they can do that if they can't even explain what it is. I will do thanks.

What Is This Lump in Front of My Ear?

I wouldn't say so. It feels more like a ligament or a tendon to me. Yes it moves but not much, however when I open my jaw it disappears, only to reappear in exactly the same place. It never moves from its position nor does it get any bigger or smaller. Thanks.

What Is This Lump in Front of My Ear?

It's not visible to the eye, it's more something you have to feel. It's right next to my ear, probably the opposite end of the ear canal walls (if that's the correct way to describe it). It seems to be vertical in its positioning, along the back of the condyle in the TMJ area. It is as close to...

Hi everyone, Over 3 years ago I was assaulted by some thugs that resulted in me taking a heavy punch to the TMJ/ear area that gave me sudden tinnitus that I have 24/7 to this day. I have a lump in front of my ear/directly on my TMJ on the affected side of tinnitus and I'm suspicious as to...

Somatic Tinnitus and Treatment — New Evidence

Hi everyone, I've just stumbled across this thread, but I'm not very well educated on all the different types of tinnitus. I got tinnitus suddenly over 3 years ago after taking multiple punches by some thugs, one most notably that caught me in the ear/TMJ area that I believe did the damage. I...

Three and a Half Years of Tinnitus and Still Trying to Find My Cause. Keep Going or Give Up?

Hi everyone. This will be my first post as a long time observer and I'm wondering if there's anybody out there that can give me some advice. Three and a half years ago I was assaulted by a group of thugs and took multiple punches to the head. I never lost consciousness, however there was one...
