Do you take it in the morning or at night? I think it might give me spikes but I’m not sure.

It’s hard to say @Bill Bauer. It’s different from when it started. When it started my base was very quiet but it was very reactive and the reactivity was very loud. Now the reactivity has calmed down quite a bit but the base has increased a lot.

Hough Ear Institute's Hair Cell Regeneration Project

Thanks for the information @Justin De Moss. Were these studies done on human or animal subjects? I’m just curious if we have any human anecdotes on tinnitus and the Hough Pill. If not, hopefully we will have soon.

Hopeless: Tinnitus Worsened Significantly (Could Prozac Be the Reason?)

Thanks, I hope yours improves too. Mine's a tone around 4000 Hz. I wish I could have a quiet hiss. Maybe it fades one day.

3 Month Update — Tinnitus Got Better

Hi @Deamon22, It’s good to hear that you’re doing well. You mentioned in your original post that you drained your Eustachian Tubes initially, how did you do that?

Hopeless: Tinnitus Worsened Significantly (Could Prozac Be the Reason?)

I wouldn’t say it’s changed since I’ve started tapering. Since my tinnitus has started it has changed to be slightly less reactive but the base tone has gotten louder most the time.

Hopeless: Tinnitus Worsened Significantly (Could Prozac Be the Reason?)

I’m sorry to hear you haven’t been doing well. I hope you improve soon. I’m still hanging in there. Tapering to 15mg citalopram from 20mg at the moment.

Hopeless: Tinnitus Worsened Significantly (Could Prozac Be the Reason?)

Thanks for sharing your experience with Prozac, are you still on 20mg or did you taper further? If you did, how long did you take to taper further?

University of Minnesota Tinnitus Research with Acoustic and Body Stimulation

Do you think it would be feasible to give everyone suffering from tinnitus to the point where it affects their lives the attention you were given? It might be a lot of effort but it’s something that may work for many. Especially when you look at what tinnitus has driven some people to do.

Vitamin Supplement (Nicotinamide Riboside) Successfully Prevents Noise-Induced Hearing Loss

Yeah it would have been interesting to see if it had the same effect again. It sucks that the benefits disappeared after you stopped (if the NR was the reason and not just a coincidence). I would definitely prefer whatever cures us not to be something we have to take every day.

University of Minnesota Tinnitus Research with Acoustic and Body Stimulation

Do you think he will make Lenire better with what he had learnt or do you think we just lost out on the most promising device? It seems like a waste to throw away research on a device that we know has cured one of our members.

Antidepressants (SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOs, TCAs, TeCAs)

Thank you for the in depth response, I also rue the day I started them. I’ve also read that tapering slowly is very important. How fast did you taper 2 years ago when it didn’t work if you don’t mind me asking? Has this taper been comfortable for you and have you noticed any positive effects...

Antidepressants (SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOs, TCAs, TeCAs)

Hi @all to gain, If you don’t mind me asking, how long have you been on SSRIs for and what are your reasons for wanting to get off? I’ve been on Citalopram for 8 or 9 years and I’ve been considering coming off. I’ve had tinnitus for 5 months so I don’t know if I can blame the SSRI this long...

Hello! I Got Tinnitus After Stopping SSRI Antidepressants

Hi @Decsi I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling. Did you stop the SSRI (which SSRI was it?) cold turkey or did you taper? How long did it take for the tinnitus to come and what does it sound like? (Ringing/Buzzing/High Frequency/Low Frequency and is it in One Ear/ Both Ears?)

Here’s hoping medical regeneration (when it comes) cures everyone’s T. My concern is my audiogram didn’t show hearing loss, but I still have T. Hopefully there’s some hidden hearing loss that the regenerative medication can fix. I feel like we’re to young for our lives to be over

How Bad Should TMJ Be to Suspect It as a Cause for Tinnitus?

Thanks, I haven’t been able to find a local dentist who specializes in TMJ but I think my chances will be better once COVID restrictions start to loosen up. The only noise damage I could think of is headphone use but even that wasn’t crazy loud I think. I haven’t looked into physical causes...

How Bad Should TMJ Be to Suspect It as a Cause for Tinnitus?

I've had tinnitus in one of my ears for the past 2 months following a stressful period. I have been lurking the forum for the past 2 months and I see TMJ is a common cause. I wouldn't say I have bad TMJ, my jaw does however crack/click when I open my mouth further than the halfway point on the...

Doubt My Tinnitus Goes Away 100% So Moving on to Worry About Other Things

Hey @jacob256 Thanks for sharing, I think my tinnitus is stress induced too. When you started implementing all of these changes, how did the improvement start? Did you just feel a 90% reduction the next day or did it increase gradually? If it was gradual, how long did it take to get to your...

From 10/10 “Suicide Tinnitus” to Periods of Almost Silence — Possible, But Not Without Some Effort

Thank you for the response, I definitely am willing to spend a lot of money to curb the suffering. Worst 2 Weeks of My Life: GP and ENT Didn't Find Anything Wrong with Me, Yet I Have Tinnitus

Loud noise makes sense as a common cause but I don’t know if I could attribute mine to loud noise. I have been to loud concerts but nothing recently (more than a year or 2 ago). I don’t typically go to clubs or anything loud like that either.

Hi all, For the past 2 weeks I've had tinnitus, I've seen an audiologist and ENT and neither could find anything. Thanks @Deniseh not knowing the cause is the worst part. Does anyone else experience tinnitus that reacts to sound? It sounds like all sound is accompanied by a high pitch ring that lasts about 200ms longer than the sound I would say. When there is a low hum in the background it causes the...
